I need to let this off my chest since I've seen it several times on these forums. You could consider this thread a rant about personal rants. : ) Firstly, if you're going through an issue with someone/multiple people, resolve it with them after it's cooled down. Don't go off and put it out on social media (Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) because in that state, it makes things worse for you if you have the fault. On the forums, you'll get nowhere. Secondly, You can rant, but there's no reason to rant/dedicate a thread about a personal issue you had with a specific amount of people. Especially if you don't list who it was with (which you shouldn't), that'll lead to people asking who and why, and so on. Of course you can talk about how you'll change, but how do you know that? That's deluding. Again, there's no reason to go off about a secluded subject nor cause any controversy. As well as you can do as you wish, but it'd only make things worse if you're the one with the accountability.
Calling people out publicly is very rude. It's happened to me twice already. If you're angry about some issue, please PM the person instead of making it public and heightening the anger. Also, just because you don't mention someone's name in a post, (or you do & don't mean it,) doesn't mean people won't know who it is. Especially when you put a screenshot of it on the forums. Anyone can search up the content of the post and find who posted it. And think about what the person who you posted about is feeling. It isn't a great feeling to be called out, even if it's indirect. (Which it really isn't if you know it's about you.) That's all I really care about rants.
Personal ranting is fine. By all means, do it. Also, be prepared for the possible shitshow, warning points for a drama thread, and the certified Dick label bestowed upon you. But no, really, personal ranting is fine.
