A very hard riddle

This riddle is actually pretty hard yet simple. Some of you will probably get it and think it's easy, but the rest of us won't so here we go:

Alice is looking at Bob.
Bob is looking at Jayden.
Alice is married.
Jayden is not married.
Is a married person looking at an unmarried person?

A) Yes
B) No
C) Cannot be Determined

The correct answer is A, yes. Here is the reasoning:

We know Alice is married and Jayden is not married, but we do not know what Bob is.
The question asks is a married person looking at an unmarried person. Which is Bob?
There are 2 situations. Bob is either married, or unmarried.

If Bob is married, then he is a married person looking at an unmarried person (Jayden)
If Bob is not married, then a married person (Alice) is looking at him, an unmarried person.

So no matter what situation, a married person is looking at an unmarried person.
So we can conclude the answer is A, yes.

I see where you come from. I see how you're playing on the fact that bob is either married or unmarried right? But technically there's more than just one way to look at it. To Be Honest C works more than A does. You're saying because bob is either married or unmarried then it has to be A. But if you think about that to be 100% sure on that fact you would have to give us more information. We never know the true condition of bob. If you think about it, C works just as much as A, you're just saying that because we don't know if bob is married or not than it's A, but what if he is engaged, or some random other marrige thing. there are a lot more answers if you think about it. trust me I know

 

Marriage is a legal status. Sometimes people prefer to not have a wedding or actually get legally married and in turn just call each other husband and wife because they don't need the state to recognize what they have between each other (which is totally fine). That situation works too because in whatever way you look at it, answer A works. You're either married or not married. There is no in-between. If you're engaged, then you're not married just like a simple relationship. It's not like you're half-married if you only say the "I" part of "I do." lol
