First off, I'd just like to wish you all a Happy 4th of July! This day can be really fun, but we can't forget the true meaning behind it. In 1776, on this exact date, the Declaration of Independence was created, saying that we, The United States, were now our own nation aside from the British Empire. There's nothing wrong with celebrating today, as it is a truly wonderful day for our nation. But, we must remember that we wouldn't be here without this treaty. We might even still be a part of Britain if it wasn't for this. We really can't forget the true meaning of today's holiday. While we're all having a blast, partying, watching fireworks, let's not forget what this day is all about. Freedom, and independence. Happy Independence day, everyone!
