People in the slack: @ActuallyImJerome
Yes, though slack is the same thing but you can also text via it, and do PMs while people aren't online or use like forums on it, and the rules there is the same as the forums/server rules.
slack is not the same as forums and teamspeak, rather it's more like Skype imo. Why are TS and forums even being brought up?
For those who don't know what Slack is. Slack is a program that is free to use and simple to use. It's not like Skype or Teamspeak at all. You can create channels where people can discuss topics and just have a laugh, you don't need to have a microphone as you simply type. There is a voice chat option on there where you can 'call' another player or a channel, but that's optional. Slack also comes with a lot of fun config things to do, such as slackbot, which you can program to say certain responses. You can also add your own emojis to make the conversation more fun. Spoiler: An example of a Slack sidebar This is a small example from a slack I use with @SynexDJ and @Mats. The #'s are the public channels where people get automatically added into once they join the slack, and the padlock is a private channel which is by invite only. Underneath that you have all of your direct messages. If you have a large team in the slack, then it will only show your recent contacts. The blue dot indicates that the person is online and slackbot is an automatic bot which you can mess around with responses, set reminders and a whole lot of other things. Slack isn't the same as TeamSpeak or the forums. It's an instant messaging program which can provide a lot more and saves you from downloading everything as you can use it on a web browser or use the free app, you also need to be invited to a team instead of just randomly joining one. You can also create your own team for free. Also, Slack has a tagging system too where you can tag people and even whole channels to get peoples attention. (E.G: Hey @Warden how are you today?) Like I said before, you can also tag whole channels by doing the @channel command which will tag everyone in that channel. You can also do @here which will only tag the users that are online at the time. I hope that kind of cleared up what Slack is for you folks :p
Thank you Warden for explaining it to them as I've not a very good person to explain things like that.
