Hey i got tf2 and cs go in my computer and ive been wondering which is the better game that i should be playing. So i decided to do this thing to ask the forums. Which is better? cs go or tf2? If u don't know what tf2 is its team fortress 2 and cs go is Counter Strike global offensive.
Both are very fun games, but I like the challenge of CS:GO. I also like how TF2 is ftp. Both have their own advantages, but if i had to choose, I'd go with CS:GO.
CS:GO, but it takes a bit of time to get used to (weapon recoil, spray patterns, wise money spending for weps, etc) and if you do get used to it, it's pretty fun since there's competitive mode as well beware the 7 day bans tho
I definitely prefer CS:GO. I've played both games and CS:GO just had so much more to it. It's challenging, exciting... everything. Team Fortress is just boring in my opinion.
I personally prefer CS:GO and I've spent a good amount of cash om the game. (By that I mean around $1,000 US on unboxing, buying skins, etc.) What I like about it is that you actually have to dedicate time to get good and having good peripherals and a good PC doesn't really help you that much for as said, it mostly boils to skill. A bit of a disadvantage though is if you solo-queue you have a huge chance of getting paired up with dumb teammates so you can kiss proper teamwork and communication goodbye. Also, the community is overall easily ticked off and salty so if you're sensitive, expect to be offended often.
Why is this even close. First of all TF2 has no diversity to it. Second of all it's laggy af and I have a good computer. I bet the only ones who voted for TF2 haven't played CSGO
I'm no tf2 elitist but I've spent a fair amount of hours on it and know what goes on I've also played csgo for 700+ hours so I know what goes on somewhat there to to a good extent. let's start off with the first thing you said here What's not diverse about 9 classes with not only the starting weapons, but at least 25 obtainable/unlockable weapons for each class, and don't even get me started on hats. Also there's some mods. And by some mods I mean thousands of mods to make the game look nicer, re-animate the first person animations, change class textures, improve fps, and re-do the entire HUD. What does csgo have for diversity? A shit ton of skins. So does tf2 but on a lower scale. Also the possible amount of things that could happen in an average game of tf2 are endless. Cs:go you shoot stuff, sometimes you get exciting bursts of skill with aces, killing someone with a frag grenade, cool looking headshots, etc. that's about it though. The only other things that could count as diverse are the maps, and most of the community servers are jailbreak, deagle training, awp training, etc. Even tf2 has more minigames to play on with community servers. I'm not even going to bother listing all the minigames/gamemodes on tf2. Second order of business. This is just straight up simple as going into the options and tweaking the settings a little bit. If you have such a good computer then why do I get a constant 60 fps playing tf2 on a mac with a "meh" graphics card and a 2.5 ghz dual core processor. I also have mat_phong 0 on but that doesn't make a noticable difference in fps. They both run on the same engine and have the same optimization, if not more possible optimization on csgo. Keep in mind I like playing both of these games (csgo not as often anymore) but I just couldn't hold back calling you out on this. Good day sir. (after posting this, i've realized this thread is kinda old. i got very triggered.)
