I dont think you should ask people to follow you, if you will be polite to us, wont break any rules, not reacting to something that turns into a flame war, you will get your followers then :P

If you're simply introducing yourself, then I would recommend putting this in [Introductions]
Also, don't ask for followers. People will decide to follow you if they like your content or just want to follow you because you're friends or something.
