I like The Hunger Games a lot as it shows the power of children and how they can easily change the world. The Panem universe just shows how children can be more wise than adults. You can't forget about the fact that it empowers women to feel stronger and that they matter too. What I like too is that (spoiler) Katniss chooses the less obvious choice in the love triangle. Loving someone means you at least have emotional connection and can relate to one another on several things. For example, Peeta and Katniss can relate with the horrors of the games. Gale doesn't understand it and only cares about creating bombs and winning war. I love Donald Sutherland's work in portraying President Snow. When I watch some of his interviews I'm struck with partial fear because he is just full of character and intelligence. I obviously love Jennifer Lawrence. Her character of Katniss is slightly reflected on her real self. She's been a major supporter of women's rights and is a strong lady figure on and off screen. I find her hilarious as I have similar humour. She's really good at acting. I've watched the extras too many times to know that she can get into character in a split second of the director saying "action" just after she made a hilarious joke. It's so cool what authors can create. The world of Panem is so fascinating and well constructed.
