I came across a video: And I realized how much COD has ripped out of Halo, literally, the setting, and characters in the new COD are literally a reskin of Halo. Shows how pathetic Activision has become.
IMO I think CoD should leave the futuristic stuff to Halo. CoD should probably revert back to the World of War style before the franchise completely disintergrates.
Well, if it helps, 343i is putting in new maps for free in Halo 5, as well as game modes and REQs, although they could do more, it's still great they give us free monthly content to freshen up the game. However, Activision is quite the opposite, locking base game content behind $10, is pathetic, look at Destiny, half the game is DLC, and the micro transactions are bad, Activision could take a hint from 343i's version of micro transactions. Then there's EA, they don't even put full effort into the game, look at Star Wars Battlefront, the game lacks so much content, even with DLC, but at least their micro transactions aren't shit. The game industry is going to shit, and we can barely do anything about it.
I don't even think I'm going to buy Infinite Warfare. Infact I'm not buying another Call of Duty game until they stay away from the futuristic stuff.
The CoD Infinite Warfare trailer deserved 2,000,000 dislikes, I'm tired of CoD going into the future with their games. That is why Battlefield 1 trailer was so successful because they are going back to World War I, I can't wait until it comes out.
I liked Advanced Warefare and still like BO3. Looking at Infinite Warefare, it does too look like they're copying Halo. Just hope it's as bad as Ghosts.
IW, Sledgehammer, Treyarch, doesn't matter, Activision owns them all, and Activision makes the decisions, they have power over these developers, whether we like it or not, same goes for Bungie with Destiny, micro transactions, cut content resold as DLC, and neglecting fans are a huge problem for us, as Activision openly practices these without secrecy, they don't even put in effort anymore. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Destiny 2 fails, and Activision forces Bungie to become the 4th company to produce CODs, that would be ironic, Bungie, the creators of Marathon and Halo, becoming the very thing they sought to oppose.
