I kinda need some advice... :((((

So, after school on Mondays and Thursdays from 4-4:30 I go to this community service thing where I help 1st-3rd graders help the community (it's kinda complicated).

But, from 2:30-3:30 I have to go to this girl's house... (I'm not gonna use names so let's just call her "Sally") until our teacher picks us up (she's not really a teacher but it doesn't really matter). So Sally, is a rich brat that lies about literally everything. So I was really scared to go to her house at first. And then after the 3rd or 4th time going to her house I realized she's kinda fun to hang around... besides the fact she's a jerk.

But just recently... I realized she's telling rumors about me that aren't true. And I'm really scared to go to her house. So I've skipped it the past few times. I told my mom about it and she kinda just made things worse (it's kinda hard to explain how so I won't say), but I'm not going to her house anymore. Although, I still see her at the community service thing.

I'm so scared to talk to her and I might quit the group. But, I don't really know... can anyone give me advice?

 

I suggest you keep going to this community service, but try to avoid this girl. If she gives you problems, tell an adult that will help.

 

If someones being a jerk to you, don't be their friend. I don't thinking being someones friend and then they are being a jerk to you doesn't sound fun to me.

If someone is telling rumors about you that are not true make it where you are such a good person when someone says something bad about you they won't believe it. It's okay to still talk to her even if you're scared just know that you got people and friend that have your back good times and bad times there's always going to be at least 1 person still beside you.

If you do not like this community service I suggest you leave. No one likes doing things they don't like. If you like you still want to do it then go for it, but always remember there's always a way out.

 

confront her. there's really nothing else you can do unless you want her to continue. ask her why she decided to spread those rumors about you. talk to her about it. tell her that it hurt your feelings. i would still go to the community service thing if it's something you enjoy

ive been through this kind of stuff before. if talking to her doesn't work, maybe talk to a counselor at your school or something.

i hope everything clears up for you. i know what it feels like to have rumors spread about you, and you honestly just have to deny it. hope this helps :)

I'm not their friend, she doesn't know I know, and she thinks I'm her friend or something.

 

Consult an adult if anything get's serious, truthfully you shouldn't care what others think. Plus, if they think that a "rumor" from a second-hand, or third-hand source without proof is their fault for being an idiot, but if you need to talk to them, ask why they would spread a rumor, but remember to keep your friends and family close, because they stay with you.

 

Then tell her that you guys aren't friends. It's best to tell them than not telling them.

Don't be afraid to say no.

 

I've been trying to talk to her but with my anxiety and crap I like freak out and never talk to her. And I will try to talk to some adults if it gets too out of hand.

I'm always afraid to say no, but I'll try.

 

Honestly, I try to stay away from people who are like that. They're usually full of themselves, and always talk about their-selves.

Don't run away from your problems, because they'll never leave. You have to confront them, to make the situation better in the end.
Don't just walk up to this girl and say how you feel, it's not a good idea. That rarely works, trust me, I've tried. People at our age sometimes don't get if they're mean or not, or need to have an attitude change. But, ask about the rumor, and why she started it. If she gives a response that you know is lies, or she just plainly says that she's out to get you, then you get the adults involved. Hopefully you talking to her about it will solve the situation itself, but don't just come clean about your feelings right away.

No matter what I said, get an adult involved. They have more knowledge, and can help you.

I would tell the leader of the service or another form of authority. I mean, it couldn't hurt and it might remove her or change her mentor.

Her mother is an adult.
Be specific.

 

Confront a teacher or that person about it. Running away from your problems is not a very wise thing, as it is only going to make it worse.

If not possible, try avoiding her and everything in relation with her.

 

Best thing I can think of is tell her parents. Or just completely avoid her.
