    So jeb posted this earlier showing off a new mob for the cold biomes, what do you guys think? c:

    Polar bears c: according to Jeb, they are neutral, and will attack you if you get near there cubs.

    I hope they add other types of bears too. If this ends up being a big environmental update that would be REALLY cool. Beehives and edible honey please.

    Honestly, I'm glad Minecraft is updating. What I'm not glad about is that they're adding all these things, that we don't really need in vanilla Minecraft. I've seen polar bears in many Minecraft mods, and I don't really think we need them in vanilla. All the new updates are killing Minecraft's originality, and it's honestly never going to be the same.

    Often in computer software confusingly 1.10 is a thing e.g Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite). Originally 2.0 was never released because Notch didn't want it to do down the path of other games which released sequels and catastrophically failed. Today I'm not sure that this idea still exists as every new version of Minecraft is still bought in the millions. I think 2.0 will come when they try to entice old players back after purchases slow at some point.

    But polar bear is certainly an interesting choice for a mob and I will be interested to see what 1.10's focus is. (1.9 was combat, 1.8 was internals in the game and 1.7 was new biomes and mobs)
