Somebody thinks I'm a Nazi

It sickens me somebody could say what Claystead said to another person.

 

I know how that feels. Terrible to know that people are stuck in 1939-1945 in their minds.

i understand racism is a real issue that needs to be fixed, but this is not the way to do it. two wrongs don't make a right.

 

I'm not sure what theyre trying to allude to

Plenty of times I've seen white people compared to milk or something, and black people compared to ebony. What point are they trying to make? Visual analogies and imagery are racist?

 

I'm half-german and my other side comes from European and Native American descent so I can really feel you man. People always give me the joke "Half-Nazi" So I usually say "Is this the 1940s." Then when people find out about my Other side they think oh, wow what happened to your ancestors that are Native American? I feel for them I'm sorry for that, and I'm like oh ok, Well I'm like 1/16 it. But yea people are annoying man. Still pretty funny people think race still matters still :^), I wish we didn't have this still it's 2016 and we still care about colors, shades, blues, and greens. People will be ignorant, but if you try to get out of being ignorant your curbing stupidity, B^).

I still can't believe that people believe that all Germans are racist, due to the actions of Hitler back in the 1940's. This is one of my least favorite stereotypes. It angers me to see that people still believe in this stereotype. I'm not German, but I can imagine how much it must suck to be called a Nazi, or racist for no reason. Just know, you are not a bad person just because of your country's history. :D

 

Personally, I don't see this as a real issue. We need to be combating racism in the form on mass incarceration, police brutality, and what not. You can't forget the past, but you can't dwell on it either, these books are likely old and simply reflect the ideas and feelings people had then. People don't write like this anymore, unless it's for a reason, and there's no point in telling them how to articulate their ideas.

 

A real Nazi would be anyone who is in the National Socialists party. So, the only Nazis today would be very old, who would probably have escaped Germany. The spoiled dumb kids would conclude that you are a Nazi.
