Hey, I would like to know what is J&H's political idology. Note that this poll is fully anonymous and that you may talk about it in the comments if you want. I'm personally libertarian.
I'm not any of those. I don't follow a particular ideology, the only thing that matters to me is the capability of the government to protect and work for the interests of the country and its citizens. During an election, I observe each politician and decide which one is best based on their capabilities as a good politician, I don't blindly follow someone just because they follow the same ideology as me.
I mix and match from many of these ideologies. None of these is perfect but that is what life is like. I think the concept of ideologies is pointless and leads to unessasary friction between groups.
I don't rrstrict myself to one ideology, since every problem needs a different solution. Sometimes it's best to go conservative in situations, other times it's best to go liberal. But basically: I am an environmentalist, because I believe and push for renewable power sources and a decrease in the oil and fossil fuel industry. I am liberal, because I believe in bettering our education, government, and tax plans. I also believe in the idea of protecting the beliefs of everyone, and I oppose the SCOTUS ruling the idea of the country being able to infringe on human rights because of a "Military Cause"(Hirabayashi v. United States). I also believe that a bigger and more effecient government is the backbone to a great country. I do not agree with police brutality and I support BLM's cause to cleanse our police force of all racism, and to put them through more than 19 weeks of training(For example, cops in EU nations use TAZERS, and they need 3 YEARS of training). I am conservative on illegal immigration, but I believe that the best solution to illegal immigration is citizenship centers where illegal immigrants, just like ellis island, are screened, questioned, and registered as a citizen. I also do not believe that our Welfare system actually helps people. Instead, I believe a "2nd chance" system is better, where the government gives jobs to those who apply(i.e. fixing infastructure, janitorial work, & other manual labor jobs), and pay for the first month on a low-end apartment.
I agree with your statements, but the problem is that no matter what form of government you use, people will always find and exploit loopholes, and there will always be unforeseen complications. When our government was established, people then couldn't even fathom what we have now, this leads to some parts of the government to be outdated, and needs to be constantly updated. When people implement new laws/additions to the government, we need to prepare for any complications that the future may hold, but people don't do this, they plan to meet today's standards, not tomorrow's. This is why developing countries aren't developing as fast as they should be, because they plan to meet today's standards and needs, and don't prepare for the future.
