Cities: Skylines is a city-building game by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive. You can build massive cities and ones that actually look realistic. It is supported by a large modding community on Steam, the game currently costs about ~$30 and to me I think that is worth it. Here are some screenshots of my city, currently it's called "Springfield" (computer generated name) I don't currently have a name for it so suggest some for me please! http://imgur.com/a/246gd
I actually really like Bridgeport, I think that will be the new name, thanks! By the way people, if you buy the game, you have to get the colour corrections and some mods I use (if you use Steam, you know how easy they are to install).
Which Color correction mod do you use? I play Cities: Skylines but can't find any good ones on steam. And this is a really nice city, one thing I don't like is how the more populated areas sort of end abruptly. but that can be fixed by ending it with a more spread out neighborhood.
Yeah, I understand what you are talking about, my problem is making neighborhoods next to higher populated areas is a hassle with traffic, citizens start using the strictly residential roads in order to get from one place to another, but I want to make them on the highway. Also, the noise coming from that area kind of creates a buffer, one thing I;m probably going to do is just make it low-density commercial, since they don;t care about noise or traffic
I think you can change what can go on certain roads in the Policies section, for example, you could ban cargo trucks from a certain road or district.
Yeah, I currently do that, but any vehicle would go through there as a bypass of going on the highway, citizens going from the city to other neighborhoods use it. The way traffic flows in this game is a bit off, I could have a 6 lane highway using my mods, and only one or two of the lanes are being used.
Hm, well then I'm not sure, but there's this youtuber I watch who makes Cities: Skylines project, he's reeally good at managing traffic, and other stuff like that. his youtube name is Fluxtrance.
