Minecraft Favorite thing about 1.9?

Now, I'm pretty sure you've all seen threads on 1.9 before. And most of them are hate threads, as the update is controversial to some. This thread is all about 1.9...but in a good way.

If you are comfortable, state what you do like about the update itself.

If I had to decide, I would have to choose the Dragon Head. It just looks absolutely beast!

 

New Pvp Mechanic. I love that it will basically null and autoaim as a whole. It also basically puts everyone as a noob in pvp, which is a fresh start a lot of us need. Can't wait to see the teamwork involved in games like KitPvp so that people can get taken down really fast lol(Like, one guy with an axe, and another with a sword)

 

Yeah, honestly the new pvp mechanic is getting a lot of hate these days. I can get why people don't like it, but the pvp we have now is basically who can click the fastest. This will bring upon a new perspective on pvp, and bring a whole new look into pvp based mini-games. The idea is great, but with it's response as of lately, my guess is that they will either nerf/reduce the cool down a little bit.

 

It isn't I believe, but it's coming out very soon.

I really love the changes in the end. I love the purple blocks and cant wait to use it in builds, since my favorite colour is purple

 

I haven't been to the end/I don't want to... So my favorite thing is how the new enemy can levitate you...
Or the fact that you can glide... Either way... All the major updates are sick...

 

The new arrows are kinda cool but thing is pvp will get ruined because the max CPS will be lowered to 6 and because of this and all of the Ghost Clients out there legit players will have no chance of fighting hacker with ghost clients. All the pot pvp community will go down in 1.9 that's why theirs still pot pvp servers what are in 1.7 and still get around 500 players.

(Diamond_Freak) 1.9 actually nulls hacks, specifically KillAura, thanks to the inevitable damage cooldown in all items. The most hackers can do now is get in your face with anti-kb, which is basically going to get you killed. CPS doesn't mean shit anymore, Pvp is now about timing, not speed.

 

I have to say, I love the elytra wings.. it just makes me look badass xD

 

You dont get what im saying KillAura is easy to tell and easy to get people banned in 1.7 1.8 but in 1.9 when legit players can only get 6 cps but with a ghost client people can reach 15+cps and know most ghost clients self destruct. And if you say that wont change anything because it not about speed then 1v1 someone with no pots in a 1x1 hole when you get 6 cps and they get 15+cps.

 

Do you even understand "cooldown"? I can literally use a living rat for my mouse, and get like, 1 CPS, and I'll still be decent at pvp. 15 cps and 6 cps do a pathetic amount of damage, like you're trying to hit me with a feeble leaf. The only thing decent about spam clicking is if they don't have a shield and you want to knock them back, or if you're trying to wear their armor out(but that will just get you killed). Tbh I'm even doubting you've tried 1.9 yet.

 

With ghost clients it bypasses the "cooldown"

That is literally impossible. Cooldown can only be edited by NBT tags, and NBT tags can only be edited with administrative/plugin permission. If a ghost client can do that, then why doesn't it just take over the servee's console lol. Tbh you don't sound like you even understand 1.9 pvp mechanics. Now, I'm not saying I'm a 1.9 mastermind, but I have a general understanding. It isn't that hard:

Faster clicking = less damage
Shield Block = no damage from front
Axe has 1/2 chance of temp disabling a shield
Hitting someone with a sword actually does a notable amount of damage.
Armor looses points with low durability.

That's 1.9 basics summarized.

 

I like the Elytra wings, although it would be cooler if they were customizable like the banners.
Another thing I like is the new sounds.
