Ugh I'm ashamed to be American when others brag about that shit. Like some of that happened years ago. Why rub it in everyone else's faces today?

 

Some people feel the need to express their "patriotism". However they do not hold much respect for the veterans who fought in the war, and suffered though it. If you watch some of the WW2 documentaries, the veterans who talk about their experiences sometimes break down, because of what happened to them during the war. For example, the veterans who served on the USS Enterprise remember the first time the carrier was struck by bombs, and they break down when they described what they felt. One even lost his twin brother in one of the fires.

 

Welp, the death of Tyrone Woods in 13 hours made me cry... Can't imagine how it felt for the fighters in Benghazi who actually experienced it in reality.

 

But imagine losing fellow friends on an aircraft carrier to 500 pound bombs. The crew couldn't even identify the bodies because they were burned instantly. And this was the first time the crewmen aboard the Enterprise saw their friends perish in front of them.

 

You know you're American when you watch American Idol with your Fam, get bored, leave, and then when everyone finished watching, you watch it on your own and eat McDonalds super sized McBurgers *Thumbs up* with Wendy's chocolate shakes and fries
