I have been noticing for the past few days that the IJAH community has been going downhill lately. Like REALLY downhill. I would say that usually there would be about 1000+ people on the server. But now it's just gone to crap. Yesterday I couldn't find anyone on the freaking server. Legit. Only 100+ people were on. This server needs to have a reset made. I have to say, the server has been so boring lately. Everything is the same. If the owners do decide to make a reset I would suggest to have less minigames that involve PvP. I think we can all agree on this. ItsJerry + ItsHarry plz respond <3
Honestly I think you're looking at attendance on the server during the weekends versus the attendance on weekdays. People have school and work and can't be online as much during the week. Just because there aren't very many people on the server doesn't mean the server is "dead". When we're only getting like 50 players a day, you can make a thread like this, but in the mean time, the server is just fine.
1) They don't need a reset, I don't see the point in having one. 2) Most people have school, college classes or others that they need to pay attention to more than a video game. The server isn't "dead", its just the players are paying attention more about school or their studies. Just like what @TheFirstChosen said, the server is just fine and that people are busy.
I completely respect your opinion about this but I'm just saying that this has been happening a lot lately. The owners and admins should take a look at this problem to try to find a solution.
A solution? By telling everyone that they have to be on the server and they can't do their studies? Even the owners don't play that much because of college. And yes, this will be happening a lot, until when summer break arrives.
The server isn't really dead. The server has 1000+ during weekends and 500 *in asia* during Monday to Friday. Alot of servers are experiencing this because of the next 1.9 update which is near. The 1.9 update has the "PvP cooldown." The server is fine, no need reset because we worked hard for our stuff in different mini-games.
Not necessarily the whole server. Factions defiantly needs a reset. Many people before has complained about how boring the server is now and how plain it is compared to other servers.
Well, you see, there is a thing called timezones. It affects the player base on weekdays, not weekends. The server is absolutely fine as it is right now, nothing needs to be changed.
In fact, more people seem to go on the PvP servers. I always see SG full asf, OITC has a few players and Factions has got a bit of attention. If you made it so there are less PvP servers, the popularity of the server would decrease. Also, there's a wide span of players on the server who aren't really into the community stuff and just want to play. JH try to make upgrades to games/spawns frequently. Most players probably don't care what a spawn looks like. They are just interested in the concept of some of the games and gaining good stats. Here's what I say: If there was a reset, there would be a lot of upset.
What this server needs as of right now is definitely NOT a reset. As other players of this community have said earlier in this thread, is that you are probably looking at the population of the server on weekends and weekdays. Usually there are over a thousand players online, but if there isn't, there isn't really a problem. Look, if there ws a server reset, the community would RIOT. When you want a reset like this, that means places like creative/skyblock/etc would be reset. And those servers itself have one of the highest player counts on the server itself. To rap up my thoughts, the last thing we need as of right now is a full server reset.
1. There's no reason for it to happen, honestly, maybe some but not the full community, some mini-games/server does need it but some clearly doesn't need it. 2. People won't agree on it, as if they've worked really hard on, well what will happen, those hours gone while it wasn't needed a reset then they've done it for no reason. 3. People doesn't always leave becuase of those reason you've said, some leave the server for having irl issues or those things, as you've no proof as they said they left due to not getting a reset, on that minigame/server, if so, why don't they just suggest it and have point into it. This is my thoughs.
There certainly is a big difference from the state from 2 years ago or so... But that isn't caused by server content, it's the drop in Minecraft popularity in general. People are quitting Minecraft slowly. There certainly are some minigames here that aren't really played. Imo, all of the MC gamemodes are overused, and honestly, I, and most of my friends enjoy the good old survival the most.
^^^ This. Minecraft is Dying. Oversaturation has made Minecraft as a body, fat and unable to move. Now all it can do is starve and die. A tip to J&H as a whole, find a new game. Find one that isn't too expensive/too boring, or one that is going to grow in size and stay alive. Hell, one game would be TF2. Comp Beta is spreading, and I estimate that by summer, Competitive TF2 will arrive, and new life will be breathed into it. It wouldn't be too bad of an idea to set up a few servers for TF2, Yaknow? Maybe branch out aswell to other games like CSGO, Terraria, or some othergame. Save yourselves before Minecraft finally dies away.
Being 'original' is holding the server back, it's getting way beyond the point where it's overly boring. I did quit the server, not the forums, but while I was on the server 2 years approx, nothing really changed. No big server wide updates, fairly boring gamemodes, very unbalanced gamemodes, it's falling behind. Owners barely interact with the community. Servers dead.
