[Sumo] Double Sided

Minigame: Sumo

Description of the map: The map has two sides, the Overworld and the Nether. The Nether is slowly corrupting the Overworld and one of the only things left is a tree (the sumo platform) that is half Overworld and half Nether.

I have 1 suggestion.

Maybe you could use leaves for the tree and just make netherrack going into he tree to make it look like it's actually getting corrupted.. Instead of glass. Just to make it look more legit.
Just an idea.

This looks like it could be a great map. The design is great, and I really like the background to this map. Having the over-world be consumed by the Nether. Very interesting.

From the pictures it looks as if the sumo platform isn't a perfect square, but more a rectangle. If it is a rectangle, I suggest making it more like a square to make it even and fair for each color/team that will spawn, assuming that each team will be on each of the four sides.

Not all sumo platforms have to be square.. look at Lilly Pad for example, or the Cloud one.. they are nearly oval and no where close to symmetrical.

 

It looks even better with shaders.

Very very creative build. It is actually very similar to a parkour map Andy, Jimmy and myself made. I like this map. I think the choice of turned over wood was way over used though.

 

Sorry for the late response, I've been busy lately. Yea I saw Andy's thread and I'm sure our build wasn't inspired off of yours. :P
