Yes but both Hillary and Bernie want to give healthcare support and restrict gun usage. Bernie just also wants to makes college free for people and other more extreme ideas...

Well, Public colledges are already government funded. Adding for government funding to education and less from people isn't that hard, especially when getting more overall income

He never said that we didn't want change, he acknowledged Obama's wanting to change US, but he doesn't want the US to become exactly like other countries.

The US is unique though. We're already Unique, but there's a difference between "Unique" and "ignoring your problems", and I feel like Marco was saying that he wanted to ignore many of the problems today.

You realize public colleges still cost around $25,000 and making it free would require a huge cut from somewhere else in our budget. Not to mention with free college tuition you risk lack of determination from people in high school who usually work their butts off for scholarships at Universities. But if college is free no matter what then they don't need to work as hard.

And also Bernie wants to raise the minimum wage to $15 which is over 2 times the current minimum wage which would raise our governments budget and drive us further into debt.

I can understand the mire expense with public college, but I don't see how highschoolers would loose their push for education past highschool. Bernie only wants public colleges to be free. This can also include things like trade schools. If anything, this will encourage more lower-income students to go to college and/or learn a trade, because public colleges require thousands that many don't have, and don't want to deal with the nightmare that is "student loans."

I also don't understand your arguement for Minimum wage. How will that hurt the government? It's the businesses that pay their workers, not the government. Rausing Minimum wage means that more people with jobs can have an OK standard of living.

Marco doesn't want to ignore these problems. He is a decent candidate and actually addresses issues which other republicans don't.

Raising minimum wage can hurt the private sector a lot. Producers will be forced to raise the prices of goods and services, and consumers will not buy as many products, and the firms will be faced with little profit and a larger cost of producing. The only way to solve this if the firm lays off people, so raising minimum wage leads to increased unemployment, and business gets slower as more people aren't making money, and aren't buying goods and services. This worsens the economy as deflation happens. The government will have no choice but to spend their budget to get people to spend more to boost the economy, and the government will have a budget deficit, and the country becomes even more screwed.

Sorry I was rushed so let me better explain myself. With a minimum wage increase large corporations will get hit hard and will need to reduce their spending of employees. This means that many people in america will be fired and out of jobs and the unemployment rate will sky rocket. Prices will also go up but at the same time wages for the upperclass and middle class wont raise at all (People who were making $50 an hour will still be making $50 per hour and not $100). So now people will be paying more for products that they can no longer afford, people wont have jobs AND on top of that more and more companies will be looking to employ illegal immigrants as they will cost 1/5 of the price of the normal employee.

You just rephrased my statement, but it is essential to know how costs affect firms. We already have trade unions to negotiate workers' contracts, we don't need to increase minimum wage.

The real problem with a minimum wage increase to $15 is that the companies that have structured their business such that they pay workers minimum wage already have a tiny profit margin. If we want to increase the minimum wage (which we should) then we need to force businesses to recapitalize first.

A large proportion of these companies that pay minimum wage already make vast profits. But I agree that smaller companies with less profit should be given time to adjust and recapitalise.

Well this is a political thread where we talk about politics, not including the use of "baller" and "he is just a loser".
