Other Games Pokemon

So guys
This forum doesnt have enough Pokemon in it, so I might as well just infect it with Pokemon everywhere.

Im just gonna open this as a pokemon discussion thread for all sorts of things, theres no main topic other than pokemon itself, so its pretty lax on tht lol.

Ill start the convo I guess.
Whats your favorite pokemon game & why?

Mine:
Black 2 for the tremendous amount of content and amazing music and so many other things that I am just way too lazy to talk about right now.

 

White 2, thanks to early/mid game Riolu, Braviary, and Volcarona, game trivializing Zorua, useful water types (see Starmie, Lapras and Vaporeon), bearable amount of HMs, story, N being the smartest trainer in the series up to then (weather team hyper offense, nice), PWT with intelligent competetive sets, unique gym themes, Team Plasma was actually competent, bla bla bla.
Down sides are shitty post game day care, starters being absolute garbage late game, Zorua being too overpowered, terrible early game surfers, and only 2 usable fliers (Braviary and Sigilyph) etc.

I prefer White 2 over Black 2 due to better Opelucid, White Kyurem performing objectively better and Lilligant.

 

Currently Pokemon ORAS, very close to taking first is Platinum, but the Sinnoh remake will definitely take the title. Pokemon GO might overtake ORAS aswell.

 

Thank god someone agrees that black/white 2 is the best out there. It really is.

Oras was pretty good, I liked the soumdtrack especially

X & Y arent good games IMO, and ORAS is pretty good. The whole 3d graphics are awesome as well.

 

That's... highly opinionated of you.
None of the games are the best. Every one has its flaws and strengths.
Except Diamond and Pearl. Those sucked and Platinum is better in every single way.

 

True statement right there, I did sound biased there. Sorry about that.
What I mean by the best is that it has the most to offer in terms of story, gameplay, soundtrack, etc.

I listen to music from the game its just that good, because I personally love the variety that the sountrack has to offer.
The game content like the story with hugh, the places to visit, the amount of pokemon, the evil team, the different gyms that customized, & more.

PWT is my favorite thing in all pokemon games tho.

It's either ORAS or Black/White 1 and 2
and yes, White/White 2 oplucid city master race
don't need any of this futuristic shit, traditional village is cooler

Favourite Game? I'm sticking with Pokemon Sapphire/Emerald for the Gameboy. I honestly can get enough, I've probably finished them around 3 times each.

 

Gosh, this is a toughie.
I'd have to say, Black/White and Black/White 2.
Both of those sets of games were amazing for me. And fun fact, they were one of my first pokemon games. Those will always be a classic in my opinion.

 

Next time on game theory...

 

Pokemon X/Y. I really love the style and new Pokemon they've added, as well as adding the Wonder Trade system and Pokemon Amie. Another fact is that they added some of the old Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl/Ruby and Sapphire. Love it.

 

Man i love pokemon.

 

Fire Red for Gameboy Advance, which I still have (including Leaf Green which I don't like as much.) It's classic, and the reason I like it is because it uses the original 151 (The first generation.) Any pokemon above that meter I dislike and because of all the new pokemon I quit playing + watching pokemon. Basically almost any one with a gem or element name in it is good, even though I've only played those two. X and Y, Black and White, et cetera are just different.

Tbh, my favorite was HGSS. I found more pleasure in completing the Pokedex in that game than XY, mainly because they spoon feed you everything in Gen VI. HGSS is also, in my opinion, the most complete Pokemon game. Still waiting for all the regions to be put into one Pokemon game so you can get 48 gym badges. You do not know how many guides I compiled for the Johto Safari Zone. The Pokewalker app, I tweaked on that thing, even though I reset HGSS already. Just battling the Johto trainers and the Kanto trainers makes it much more complete. The last thing I liked was the Pokemon that followed you around, and I hope that feature can be reimplemented in a future game.
