Here we can discuss the surprisingly super hot indie game, Undertale. In case any of you have no soul have not played it, it is currently on Steam for $10. I personally tried it, haven't finished yet, but it's great. It's full of quirks and memes and it's a great change from KILLING EVERYTHING IS FUN style that we see a lot. What is the forum's thoughts on this game, seeing as this place is not exactly full of mainstream thoughts?
Are you not killing anyone, killing some monsters, or killing everything in your path? Because it makes a (huge) difference for the ending
It's a wonderful game, in my opinion. The true ending is beautiful, but it can quickly go from adorable to murderous in seconds. I played the demo, and I felt bad for accidentally murdering Toriel. The look of despair and betrayal that she had was saddening. It couldn't be more heartbreaking. She couldn't even save herself, let alone a child. As TheIncendium stated above me, yes, the ending does matter, and it's tricky at points. At first, when I saw the game, I was a little confused, and was pretty down on the matter. I thought it was just some new indie game that everyone was speaking about. But wow, after all I've seen, with the endings and whatnot, that's some goooood stuff. No wonder it was rated 10/10. It can be confusing at points, but I'd give it 8.7/10 to be completely fair. The "Bad" ending is one of the worst; and honestly, if I ever got the game, I wouldn't be able to do it, video game or not. I couldn't stand murdering everything, it was bad enough that I accidentally killed Toriel. The gif below describes basically what happens in the bad ending. But, yeah, it's pretty good, in my opinion.
Definitely gonna go pacifist first, so that I don't screw up the ending for pacifist if I kill someone in my past games. Gonna go genocide last, cause I heard it was the hardest or something like that, also you have to kill the characters you bonded with in other runs.
Definitely one of the best games I've played. Charming characters, unique combat system, a compelling story, and the perfect balance of humor and feels. It all adds up to create a perfect blend of a game.
I hope to play it soon, but I have build a good looking sans on the creative server from itsjerryandharry. come check it out soon ok

The one thing which really killed my hunger for the game at first was how it makes it look as if to get to the actual game, you need to kill Toriel. This is a Misconception I made and many others made, from the comments and just hearing it around. I haven't really been able to get back into undertale due to me trying to fix the internet issues at my house, and to get my hands on Sketchbook Pro 7, which I got last night(Also practicing with regular sketchbook c: ), and just shit going on rn. Although before I realized my mistake in killing Toriel, the run was good! Undertale is a fantastic game and shows the extreme potential Toby Fox has, and it would definitely be smart for game companies to snag him before his potential goes to waste!

Not a fan of the new no mercy final boss dialogue. He should go through his speech as usual instead of just saying "ready?". It was sort of a fitting punishment to sit through his dialogue over and over if you died. Otherwise, everything else is essentially an improvement.
