Thank you so much for this appreciation. I mean, I wasn't on the list but I get the idea.
However, why are some of you suggesting a "players day" or like "appreciate players too" like you're asking to be appreciated. When yes, you do help the server by doing reports and stuff but it wouldn't even happen without the Staff. Sure, we don't need a whole day to ourselves every January 19th, and somebody can simply just say "Hey staff, thanks for doing what you do." on our profiles.

That's kind of what I said in my post though. Staff do a lot, but I don't think they deserve a "staff day" and same applies to players. We don't necessarily need an appreciation day either.

Well, if there were no players then we wouldn't even need staff in the first place. It's kind of a two for one thing. I don't want to be "appreciated", I just want everybody to think about the players as well not just the people with the coloured tag. I don't want my ego filled, just wanted to put it out there sometimes. And, I have nothing against the staff getting appreciated - you all do a wonderful job at your job but is it necessary to have a Staff Day? You should be appreciating the staff all the time, and no I'm not implying you shouldn't appreciate them.

 

I wasn't stating that there should be a player day. I was comparing how having a staff day would be unfair if we didn't have a player day. I was trying to make both things seem unnecessary since the idea of having a staff day would be ridiculous and same with having a player day. I guess you are not understanding the point that I was trying to get across. I was saying that we should go ahead and have a player day if the ridiculous idea of having a staff were added, but my main point was that both were/are ridiculous in the first place.

The staff stick around when the server is at "it's worst", a lot of the staff have also donated.

Not to be rude, but it would be very hard to appreciate the entire player base.
Thousands and thousands of players come on the server each day, when the staff team is a group of under 30 people.

Please read my other posts stating that having a player day would be ridiculous. Having either day is ridiculous and I have already said this before.

 

Did you not read the thread? Basically this thread is the "Staff Day" thread, thanking the staff members.
Your replies are saying how unfair it is that there is this "Staff Day" but there is no "Player Day", trying to say how "unfair" it is because there isn't one.

Also, your replies confuse me.

Here you're saying how they are both a terrible the idea of a staff day/ player day is and how riciculous it is.

Then here, you basically say that a player day is an amazing idea!!!!

Please, just make a 'community day' if this thread bugs you so much. The only thing the OP created is an event in which we appreciate staff, how is that so bad? If you think it's useless, good for you.
If I made a 'donor day', in which we appreciate the donors' kindness, would that be bad too? Of course not! I can't think of any reason to argue over such little things O_O
Also, staff volunteer on the server and do a lot of work, we're not just players with tags.

 

I'm not saying it is bad, I am just saying that it is unneeded. I don't understand why people are blowing what I said way out of proportion. I think even if there was a player day, it would also be ridiculous to have and same with a staff day. I don't agree with having either one though. I just think people should appreciate each other without having to make threads like this and that is all I was trying to point out, but then people like Matrix took it as if I wanted only a players day or was just flat out contradicting myself and that is not the case here. I was trying to make a point that both would be ridiculous by saying that if we go ahead and had a "staff day" where is the player day? But some took it like I was implying that we should have a player day... no no no. I said that to make both seem unneeded. If I wanted a player day, I would have said this:
Can we please have a player day?!

 

It personally warms my heart that someone decided to make a staff day, therefore, I don't think it's useless, but that's just my opinion. ^-^

 

I never said it was useless, I just said it was unneeded. I do personally appreciate staff, but all I am saying is, this is not the most effective way to show appreciation.

 

We don't need to thank anyone, we don't need to do anything at all, but it's nice! Even if it isn't done in the most "effective way", why not do it?

 

I agree with you why not, but it doesn't need to be a trend.
