Companies & Hoverboards

So hmm.. since smartphones came out or mainly ones we've known since like.. 2012? 2011? anyways, they've become popular and they're a normal thing of today, but think about those companies who produce smart phones, What if they could produce Hover boards? (Not Damn Segways) could those companies somehow make hover boards and BAM! they're a normal a normal thing.

 

Well, everything is a possibility. What I think is that in like 5-10 years or so they will actually make a semi real hover board, that floats more above the ground. But I can honestly say sometime in the future (Don't know when) hover boards will be a normal thing.

 

I imagine telling my great grandchilderen "Back in my day we didn't have hoverboards" and they'll be like

I don't think that is a hoverboard.
I see a hoverboard as something that when you actually get on to ride it, it stays high in the air, not skids the ground.
So basically a balloon can do that same exact thn, it hovers, but when you 'get on it,' it doesn't float. That can only move forward.

Just my opinion though, don't hate.

 

Its about an inch off the ground? didn't you see float from land over water and back the the ground? The only time it is skidding across anything is when it was on the rails but everywhere else it is floating :P

 

Oh my. That's a lot of steam. I want to see a hover board that works like this, and not like standing on a steam train..

Also one that can take off and not just skid across the ground, and if I remember correctly from BTTF 2, hover boards shouldn't work on water? :p

 

The steam is from the frozen nitrogen needed in the mechanics to make it fly.

 

Ah. That would make sense, I was just saying I wanted one similar to the hover boards in BTTF. Maybe one day science will get that far :P

 

A Hoverboard whether its IRL Or BTTF2 Still technically works on water, you just cant gain momentum by pushing your foot onto the water cause reasons, unless you pushed it with force and that stuff.

I dont know why they call these things hoverboards when they dont hover off the ground, all they are is handlebar-less segways. I guess people cant really tell the difference between a hoverboard and a segway. :P
