I dont really know much about osu since i play mania 24/7 but when I do play osu, I usually change the mouse sensitivity a little bit. Usually around 110 - 130. Another thing is that instead of using the mouse button, use the x and z keys instead so that your mouse wont be shaking too much
First rule of OSU: Play CTB instead Jk. Just basically what Jack said. Use the keyboard to hit the keys instead of your mouse buttons. You can even change the key bind to whatever Is comfortable for you. Change your sensitivity to something that suits your game play. And most importantly, practice, practice, practice. I cannot stress enough how much practicing a lot helps, but don't overplay yourself as you could end up with wrist pains and such.
Just really practice with some of your favorite maps (so you encourage yourself to play) and if you're trying to climb ranks, go aim for maps within your rank's area (stars) and try to get good accuracy (normally 98% or higher gets the job done). Also, get sturdy equipment. Why, lets just say you're going to smash and bang a lot of things.
Try all the gamemodes. It's how I found CTB. Very fun gamemode. Easy to pick up, hard to get better at it. :)
Welp as a mouse player. I could only tell you one thing. IF you're gonna stay as a mouse player. You're gonna change your sensitivity at least... 100 times a day trying to figure out which sens is best for you. And you should also watch streamers that play Osu. Idk about you but it helps me play xddd Oh and don't play CTB. Play Taiko as your second gamemode c:
