Title says it all, I've been thinking about it for a while. It will last a few years and I'll probs add better things over time... I'll most likely use this for gaming and recording, and it should be able to handle it.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ (More expensive here as I added an OS and Monitor)

    Feel free to leave criticism

It should be able to handle it, but for gaming I'd suggest AMD.. but that's my pref. Also, if you were going to do Intel Core, don't get i5, get i7 since it's a lot faster and can handle more stuff.. You have to look at the size of RAM, ROM, Disk Space, Hard Drive, SSD's and all that before even considering a build.

Look at all the ups and downs and consider what things you should ACTUALLY put into the computer and hope you don't overload it.
It took me a month before even considering to build a computer, it's takes a while and a lot of research before putting work into a computer. But entirely.. I think you should build a computer, just not exactly what the guy did in the video.

^ i7 isn't faster at all if you're just using it for gaming. Most games don't require more than two threads, getting an i7 will actually put you at an disadvantage because of the lower clock speed

The build will do fine on pretty much every game.

What's your budget? It's eventually up to you since you are the one paying for it, but Intel is lightyears ahead of AMD. Sure, AMD is pretty damn powerful, but Intel can take a lot more than AMD on it's back in all fields of performance. But in this case, Like @ItsHarry said, i7 won't really make a bit of a difference.

And Nvidia cards have more optimization

This is a great budget for me anyways,

The GTX 960 is horrendous for its price. You're better off going go the red team for a similar alternative, or spend a bit more and get a 970.

Unless you also want to make videos, don't waste your time nor your money with an i7. You will not notice a difference in performance with 95% of tasks. Stick to an i5 (4440 is decent and cheap).

H97 motherboard is overpriced for its capabilities, go with a cheaper chipset, I recommend B85.

Everything else seems ok. Read around tech forums for advice and how certain components are from people who own them before considering using them.

Actually, if you compare two graphics cards (1 R9 380 and the GTX 960), they're pretty much the same, and they cost as much, so I don't know why you say that the 960 costs too much for the power it offers.

Also, a 970 can cost more than 200$+ than a 960, so if you're on budget, I'd suggest seeing the differences between Radeon and Geforce graphics, as the two teams are really not the same, and it is not true to say that one team is better than the other, it depends on what the person needs.

Also, speaking about CPUs, in my opinion, you should get an FX-6300 & a cooler master hyper 212 EVO cooler in order to save money. If you overclock a 6300 to 4.7 GHz (which won't make your computer explode with this cooler), you can have a performance that's as high as a normal i5. For the motherboard, if you go on AMD's side, get an AMD 970 chipset (or X99FX if your budget allows it to you). The FX-6300 is a better bang-for-buck than intel's cpus, and it's overclockable. But, if you wanna stay on intel's side, do not spend your money on an i7.

The 380 outperforms the 960 in 90%+ of all games. No, they are not 'pretty much the same'.
True. Neither side is better, but the 960 being bad for the price is a solid statement.
Intel has better performance per core, which matters more for gaming. Having said that, I still say Intel > AMD for gaming on any scale. Also, a regular person won't benefit much from an overclock, and the fact that it'll involve you spending more on a cooler is less cost efficient.

Can you send me where you found this? As I can not find any articles proving this.
The Cooler Master 212 EVO is like 20$, you can't say it's an "expensive cooler". It's also very performing.

Bruh, stock coolers are shit. When you play games w/out overclocking, they keep your computer @ like 90 degrees Celsius fr
