If guns were illegal, yes, we could not defend ourselve as much as we do, but there would be a lot less killings using guns.
I mean... yeah

 

The problem all comes down to education. Some people don't receive proper education, and therefore are not taught proper morals and philosophies, and they end up doing bad things. The gang wars start because people who don't receive proper education start holding petty grudges against other groups, and resort to violence, because that's the only way they've known to deal with things. We need to fix the American Public School system, it's messed up as of now and doesn't teach what's proper, and this is the root of the problems the U.S. has. Fix domestic problems first before international ones, every country needs to follow this philosophy in order to have a better world.

 

I can agree with this, but don't forget about mental health checks. I also think that banning most or all guns is beyond us, but an assault weapons ban is still up for debate.

 

How many times have you heard of a mass shooting where someone kills the terrorist by using their own gun? Most people don't just take a gun to school with them so it's kinda hard to say they are for defense speaking that most people won't even have a gun on them for they really need it.

If Trump wins the Republican election then it's an automatic presidential election for the Democrat candidate. I don't see why you're complaining tbh.

Also, if Trump were in office, then taxes would go up and so would salary, which is good but it puts people in a position that would leave them without a job because the companies wouldn't be able to pay the workers.

 

hi concerning the 2nd amendment, i'd just like to say some things
1) britain banned guns and their gun deaths are a 1:5 ratio now in terms of percentage (not 1/5 th gun deaths in terms of population but percentage bc they have a lower population) and they were built off of the same english principles as america

2) the right to bear arms was specifically given for the people to rebel in the case of a tyranny, but when the constitution was written, it basically created a new government system (a democracy) that prevents tyranny with a checks and balances system across the branches. it dates back to the magna carta and stuff

3) we don't have a standing army that can be used against us

4) with all these mass shootings, yall say "it coulda been stopped if we had a gun to stop them" but it wouldnt have been started if the shooters didnt have guns to begin with

5) yes, you can always illegally smuggle guns but the price of guns if made illegal, even a standard hand gun, would be extremely expensive because of the high demand since it would be illegal like the prohibition in the 1900s

1. Noticed how we rebelled over Britain for their unfairness.
2.The government itself can become a tyranny (of course it wouldn't have a tyrant itself but you know what i mean). If we don't have guns the government could over power us. It's similar to how congress can overrides a president's veto when passing a law. If the government had more power over us and we had nothing to do about it, this place could be another unfair mess.
3. Yes we do, all we have to be called is rebels and we could be there next target.
4. (and partially 5). They don't have to smuggle the guns from the U.S. They can do it anywhere. Also, you can't just go to a mans house and take away their gun. It's unfair. Also, it's not the guns fault, it's the people. I feel like a lot of you are missing that. If you're about to be killed by someone with a smuggled weapon and you don't have a gun with you; guess what is going to happen? You're gonna die. If they took our guns away. It would just be racking up kills for the bad guys and there wouldn't be many heroes to prevent these kinds of things.

also, note even with our gun rights intact, when has that helped to prevent the mass shootings or terrorist attacks that have occurred?

 

Yes, because it's the person's fault that the car moved when the gas pedal was pressed. But, it's in the car's nature and design to move, just as it's a gun's nature to shoot and kill. It may be the person's fault for shooting the gun, but the gun already is volatile and hazardous due to it's design to shoot bullets.

In my opinion, gun control is unnecessary, and people could just smuggle guns like they do with illegal drugs like marijuana.

People kill people. Guns do not kill people alone.
