Question about dating on the server

For some reason it's a pretty longstanding thing for people on the server to date each other. I think it's dumb as shit for people to do that when they don't know each other in person, but my question is, is there any pair of users here who are "dating" and do know each other in person?

 

@XenonHD and @KateVampire know and have met each other in person, I'm pretty sure.

 

Kate and Xenon have met twice in real life.

 

We originally did meet on here, but got to know eachother much more and then had the chance to meet as it isn't really that far tbh.
Building it up over time does take a while but providing you video call the person.. pretty sure you'll meet the same one and not some weirdo sooo

 

I think this thread might start arguments just a gut feeling

 

Eh who cares about arguments. Debating about stuff is fun, as long as people don't start flaming and shit.

 

You can't really say it's dumb as shit if you've never tried it. We have 2 different couples that have met on the forums. Not everyone has the money or is old enough to meet someone they like/ "love." Online dating doesn't work for everyone, but when it does, it's just nice.

No. But I kind of see some kind of point you are all trying to make here?? I don't know, still think the server dating stuff is so damn weird. Weirder than regular online dating because it's through a Minecraft server and all that.

 

Well think of it this way, Minecraft is related to it but in 2 ways.
1) Most of the population of the creative server. They "date" within minutes of typing hello, and then somehow go back to their various clubs and do things.
2) The ones that meet on MC, but then get to know eachother off the server. They are on Skype or Teamspeak and talk there etc.
Just because they meet on MC, doesn't mean to say they're "dating" on MC. The example of Kate and myself would obviously be the 2nd one.

 

In what way is it different to dating websites . In my opinion dating on Minecraft is better because you get to relate to things you enjoy , in this case Minecraft. A relationship on minecraft can be great, it depends on what you make of that relationship.

I meeting my gf next week and I'm really fucking happy . People can date how ever they like . :)

So apps like Tinder and all that are regular but dating through a game is weird?
Like said before, there is more than minecraft. Skype, teamspeak etc. In my case we started off on Minecraft, had a few conversation on Teamspeak and then moved to Skype and apps like Kik and pretty much stayed there. You are too close minded, there is more outside the box of Minecraft.
