Hi guys, so this thread is basically all about staff being in different time zones and stuff. Okay so here it is.. Whenever I'm on the server, it is very unlikely to find a staff member on, in my time zone (AEST). I believe that this server should have more staff members from different time zones such as AEST ( Australian Eastern Standard Time) so it is a lot easier and quicker for problems to be resolved. Who else agrees? Thank you, Stella.
Are you sure you're checking every server/minigame? There's always a staff member on, sometimes they might be in /v or disguised so they won't appear when you press TAB. I do agree though, this server needs more staff members from other timezones
I agree too, but staff have repeatedly stressed that there are less people online in our timezone (I'm on Philippine Standard Time) and therefore less staff is needed. Not a valid reason, though. The server appears to be doing well anyway There are times when every server does not have staff online, or if ever, most of them are afk.
Well, there may be one on teamspeak. If someone's so desperate for one, they could ping one on teamspeak
It still applies. Yet, yes, if you're desperate, ping them everywhere you can find them. You would have to wait most of the time for maybe they need to eat lunch or something that makes them afk in the first place.
Don't know about that. I still see some of them logged in while afk for a couple of minutes o.o *pings staff about confirmation*
Just because they're logged in and not moving/talking in chat doesn't mean they're afk, they could be solving reports on the forum etc
One thing about this is that there isn't a lot of people in general on the server at this time. I think they try to do it in a matter of ratios. So, for example, there might be 2000 people on when the American timezone is active and usually there should be about 5-10 or more staff on. As for the Australian timezone, there might be only about 400 people on and there might be 2 staff members on. It can be hard to find staff sometimes because they can be disguised, busy and not applying all their focus on chat, or they could already be helping someone. If you fail to find staff, just head to these forums, submit a question in the Help section or send a message to one of the staff members through conversations. To start a conversation, you can: - Go to the staff member's page and click to start a conversation. - Or go to the top of your page, click your Inbox and start a conversation and add staff to it. Other things you can try are: - Checking TeamSpeak. Helpers have a lapis next to their name, moderators have redstone, mod+ have a plus on a redstone, admins have an emerald and owners have a diamond(correct me if that has changed. - Posting a message on a staff member's profile. Although staff are meant to log out if they need to go afk, sometimes urgency and circumstances can lead to them being afk in the game. Even though I haven't been online to see the activity, I can imagine more staff are needed for the timezone area. To be honest, if there were to be staff from Australian timezones to be on in the afternoon, it would be hard because they'd most likely have homework or assessment, especially having the staff aged 13+.
When I'm online, especially lately, there is like only me online. Earlier, before 5-6pm, there is up to 4. Check kitpvp, all creatives, all skyblocks, parkour, buildit and possibly facs/survival. I have actually received inboxes asking for me to go to a server. Those requests work.
My timezone is two hours back from the AEST time, so I do have to apologise for not being so active. Just some moving schools stuff, studying and work, I'll try and be as active as possible. Once again, my apologies, since I'm one of the staff who has a timezone similar to that of AEST.
I don't live in Australia, but Hawaii Standard Timezone does cover part of its timezone. Yes, I live in Hawaii. I close the doors and turn off the lights for America staff. I'm normally online from 6pm to 9pm, which is 3pm to 6pm your time, and I do see Mappy online with me a lot. At those times, there're only like 300 people online. I'm usually on lobby, skyblock2, or creative1 at late times. I try to be active as possible. Considering your question, I live in a very unique timezone and I have only met one other person on the forums with my timezone. Connor and Nether have very unique timezones, as well as Mint, so we are covered in a lot of the timezones.
I'm not bashing any hopes of any sort but it's very hard to find good candidates in the Australian timezone. Like as much as I agree that we need more Australian timezone staff. I don't think the reasonable option is to hire someone only due to their timezone because if that was the case, we would have a lot of staff members in that timezone :P. I think it's just patience to be honest.
Wait, shouldn't this be in suggestions? Well, I see your point. But not everyone is able to be a helper. And people can't be on 24/7.
