Other Games New Portal Game Announced: Conversion

You guys remember Portal, right?
It was that portal-shooting puzzle game with an amazing story, lovable characters, brain-teasing test chambers, plentiful cake and combustible lemon jokes, and let's not forget that adorable little pink Companion Cube. :D

Well, it's almost time to wield the Portal Gun once more.

That's right. There's a NEW Portal game in development.

...but no, it's not Portal 3.
...It's not F-Stop either.
It's Portal 1.5: a sequel to Portal, but a prequel to Portal 2.
But it's not called Portal 1.5. That would sound stupid.

It's Portal: Conversion, and it's just recently been Greenlit on Steam.

It's being developed by Hidden Valley, but it is being published by VALVe and most likely going to be made under their watch. Wheatley will make his return (or rather, his INTRODUCTION, as this is a prequel to Portal 2) along with other characters. Even a new main character that hasn't been described in detail yet (Chell's alarm clock isn't working :P ).

The game is scheduled for a release some time around 2015, but there should be a demo released some time in the next few months.

This is really happening. And I am more excited than I've ever been.:D

NO IT'S HALF LIFE 3

In Half Life 3: Black Mesa = Aperture Science's Rival
In Portal 2: Aperture Science = Black Mesa's Rival.

EVERYONE WANTS DAT HALF LIFEEEEE

 

Half-Life 3 will be released "when it's ready".
This will be released in 2015.
Considering HL3 is still in Development Hell, (somebody count how many times I've said "Development"...) and has been for almost 10 years now.
I'd say we look forward to this before HL3. This is most likely going to come out sooner.

I do love Half-Life though... :/

We all know we want Garry's Mod 2 Half Life 3. Or Half Life 2 Ep. 3.

 

Garry's Mod 2! Hopes that they make a G-Mod for Ps3 :3

 

You can't make a sequel to a sandbox mod with no story and no actual directive. It's just "Do whatever the hell you want."

Thats the exact reason why it would be great! Like an updated version with more vanilla features!

 

Don't get me wrong, I'd love it, but people would complain that it could've been an update and the VALVe is just money hungry. The solution? NEW ENGINE. HL2 engine is so shifty. I hate it.

Actually, it looks like it's a mod for Portal 2, just the size of a new game.

 

They say it's being developed as a mod, but I think it has the potential to still be it's own game. It has it's own unique plot and a lot of new features. I'm sure VALVe will have a say in it's creation. Just the fact that it's been Greenlit shows that VALVe has some input along the line. :P
Besides, Gmod started out as a mod, but look where it is now!
