For the past two weeks, I have been attending a program after school that can also be identified as "STEM" (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education). Only 15 people could join out of the whole junior high (6-8) and I was lucky to get in. But, anyways, we chose our own groups, and one of our first assignments was to build a robot using the pieces she gave us and everything like that. In the first week, the group I was in, and I finished making this : Spoiler: First In extra time, or at the end of the day, the instructor would let us play games, and mostly everyone played minecraft because she brought tablets/mini laptops everyday, and iPads. We had chances to make a creation, so she could 3D-print it, and so, I made a panda, but sadly she couldn't find it, and I had to make another one yesterday, and it will be delivered to my home room. This week was the last and second week of the program and we were told to either make an "animal" robot or just create our own for the "sumo battle", which was basically seeing whose robot would knock down the other's. We messed up on making the animal, so the group and I just decided to make our own, and here's what it looked like in the end: Spoiler: Second Of course we had to program it, and it was difficult in the beginning, but as time went on, it became easier. Here's some video links from our last day there, and the sumo battle. (I tried to refrain myself from showing anyone's faces.) https://vid.me/YcVe https://vid.me/pAOl https://vid.me/CGEK
Omg, I remember doing a STEM club thing back in early secondary school, our main project was to build a kitcar thing out of very simple parts, then compete with it somewhere nearby against other schools doing the same thing (actual racecar size btw, not model). Sadly we didn't win lool
We had this program in my past school in El Cajon California. It was a middle school and we had STEM. Sadly I moved and could not attend that amazing opportunity but I would if I had the chance. Its amazing what you can do in that program :D
We had a club to make robots like this in 6th grade We had 8 members we dun goofed so many times before we made something like yours but it took us like 2 months
