Meh, I'm not too excited about this. If anything this will just make shit more confusing. I mean, would you be able to use items while flying? How would you calculate fall damage(i.e. If I go too fast and crash will I die)? I would rather prefer to see a new building or pvp mechanic than flying, tbh.

Well remember it's a work in progress so they havent finished these things yet. (Which are called Elytras) And iv'e tested them out, you can use items, and if you hit the ground, you dont take any damage. And plus they are going to balance these ultra rare items as well. so give it time
Wait, these can be customized with banners?! Just imagine flying around with these and a shield with you banner on it and a God bow with poison tipped arrows as ammo. Too much wow, mojang. Too much wow.
I have some more info on these as well. Mojang added some mroe features to the Elytras, now they have durability and are able to break if they are damaged. You can repair them on anvils using leather. plus the only way you can find them is on the ender ships, which are rare to come across. so Mojang is still balancing this new item so its no too overpowered
I tried it out and it's epic! Also did you know if you use the punch* 3 bow trick, you can 'knock' yourself higher than where you started! Neat right?
