BEFORE I GET STARTED I AM SAYING THIS: THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION, SO DON'T MAKE FUN OF USERS WITH WEAKER COMPUTERS. Basically you say your computer specs for the entertainment of users. Mine are: CPU:Intel i7 Quadcore (Factory overclock from 2.7 to 3.5 GHz) GPU:AMD R9 RAM:8 gig RAM Disk:994 gig SSD Power Supply:8 cell battery Display:1600:900 pixel 17.3 inch screen It's a laptop that weighs 12.5 pounds, and worth every ounce. (It's an Alienware 17, 2014 series.) Edit: reformatted the post for ease of use and put in detail my CPU, because a non-overclocked i7 isn't that great. 3.5 is at least something interesting.
rip me MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB Display: 1200x800, 13.3 in.
But well, here are mine. OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit CPU: AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core Vishera 32nm technology RAM: 8GB (8192 MBytes) DDR3 669,6 MHz Motherboard: ASUSTeK (ASUS) M5A78L-M LX PLUS (AM3R2) Monitor: HP w1907 1440x900 Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670 HDD 1: WDC WD1003FZEX-00MK2A0 ATA Device 931GB HDD 2: ST3320813AS ATA Device 298GB
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz. RAM: 16.0 GB. Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit OP & 64-bit Processor. This is not my actual computer, that is our home PC. I mainly use Laptop.
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise, moving to Ubuntu soon. CPU: Intel Xeon 1230 v3 (OCed to 3.5Ghz, don't try this at home). GPU: GTX 970 RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600 Mobo: MSI Z87-GD65 PSU: RM-750 (Sort of overkilled it, didn't check the PCI plugs before I bought it) Storage: 1TB WD Blue and 120GB 840 Evo Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro
Because if you don't know what you're doing, your CPU burns out, or your whole system does if the mobo shorts from it.
I listed the battery because originally I was going to say how long it would last on battery because it eats it up quickly, but I forgot to remove battery off the list. The battery can power a standard laptop for about four hours, but only powers mine for 45 minutes. That's because a) the GPU b) the two large fans and c) it's an Alienware so it has LED light effects.
OS: Windows 10 CPU: i7 4770k @ 4.2 ghz GPU: 2x GTX 980 ACX 2.0 SC RAM: 8 gb Corsair Vengeance MoBo: MSI Z97-G45 PSU: Corsair ax1200i Case: Corsair 750d HDD: 2 TB Western Digital Black SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 128 GB
