J&H staff are lazy *Read*

So recently there has been a large amount of hackers appearing on almost every game on jerry and harry. And when ANY staff member is told to check out a hacker or something they say
"Record it and post it on the forums" When they can easily get up and take care of it right there. Even doing "/report" will say the same thing.

All im asking for is for staff to take a break from parkour and goofing off in hub and take care of a problem. Not just disregard it.

Lazy? And there's alot more. Many pages. We do this daily.
You don't even know what we're doing daily. We are in every server every single day. You are not just online at the right time.
And parkour + lobby is important too. There comes most of the advertisers, so of course there needs to be staff. And parkour. We have many staff around the server, but you can't see them, because you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Record it and post it on the forums". You know why we say this? If he knows we're staff members, and doesn't want to get banned, of course he's gonna stop hacking and gonna continue after we're gone. That's why we tell you to record and report it after if possible. (This has happened to me many times.)
All I'm saying, please be patient. We will come help you as soon as possible. If we don't, or we forget, remind us or just record and report if possible. Or go tell someone else in lobby, because there's at least one staff member online in lobby. Even if it's Helper, he/she can forward it to us. Simple as that.

 

The do their job very well and take care of what needs to be taken care of. You cannot rely on staff to fix the whole server themselves. Players and staff alike need to work towards getting rid of as many hackers as possible.

 

The reason why they tell you to post on the "Report Abuse" section is because they need proof of it happening. Going out of... lets say Sumo to go the hub to tell a staff member. The reason they say go to the forums is so they can have proof so they can decide if the player is actually hacking faster and quicker.

Plus, if you go to any sub forums in the report abuse section. You can see that there are pages and pages of locked threads by staff members who take care of the report.

Also, the reason why players are hacking is because if they see a staff member who is going to do anything. If there are no staff members then there is a little chance of it not getting reported. If they see a staff member, then they are not going to do there offense because they will just take care of it right then and there.

So when you call it lazy, I call it them getting these hackers out of the server fast and quick. Plus checking the forums for reports is much more faster.

 

Okay, first of all, not all staff is able to take care of hackers. Second of all, some may not be sure if a player is hacking or not, so by making a report, it gives a better chance of us not false-banning. Lastly, some hackers may end up leaving if they see a staff member watching them, so they may not end up being caught.

Staff do their job very well, they take care of all the reports they can ASAP.

Just because you don't see them checking for hackers 24/7 doesn't mean they are lazy and don't do their job.

 

The main reason that there are so many hackers is because not a lot of people really record and report.

Staff can't be in every single game, in every single room trying to catch hackers. There's a report section.

 

Staff can't always be there. Heck, I play factions a lot and there isn't staff there most of the time. But, whenever there is a hacker, I record so at least something can be done about it.

Goofing around in the hub.... This is going to sound very rude, and I just want you to know that that isn't the intent:
Goofing around in the hub. There is I think 30-50 people in the hub at once. 1 Staff member can't handle them all at once. That is why there are more staff in the hub. Ok, now for the "rude" part. When a new player spawns in, they start in the hub. They start advertising their noob server or wtvr, the staff are on it, bam, What is everybody else doing? Chilling. PLAYING games, while the staff members are constantly patrolling each server to make sure of rule breakers. I am not exactly sure of this, but I don't think helpers can ban, so guess what, even if there is a hacker, they can't do anything about it! We don't have a huge amount of mods, so they aren't there to temp-ban players. That leaves it up to the Mod+s who are at the hub or doing other important tasks. I really don't think that staff members like sitting at spawn for half an hour with no action/fun. But you get what you sign up for. Now, I understand maybe you died in factions in your good armor to a hacker and that can get pretty annoying (trust me). But, that is our job as a community to record/screenshot misbehaviour. There is always a good amount of staff members on the forums at once, so when your report has been posted, they can do their job and take care of it. It really isn't much effort to post a picture on imgur or whatever you use. Now, you may say "It doesn't take much effort to come and watch the player either" I have two rebuttals to that. Well, one is what iMawl said earlier, if they see a staff member they will turn their hacks off. Another is that the staff members then have to leave their "post" in the lobby, and if it is late at night when there aren't many staff members online, there are chances that rules will be broken.

I didn't mean to be rude, but I am trying to get the point across. I am not a staff member, but even I know that lots of things go on behind the scenes that we are clueless about.

 

And this could be where a disguise system could come in. This would help Mods patrol undercover, so they can ban players easily in game. I'm not sure if there is a disguise system, but there probably should be if there isn't one.

 

There is a disguise system but not everyone has it.

 

Can staff members use it?

 

Its really funny that everyone blame us, but they dont even see how much time we spend on the server, forums and basically just in the community. Lol we work so hard and all you guys are saying that were all too much on lobby, afk, and doing our job bad.
Only a few here actually thank us.

Sorry if I sound rude, but It's just my opinion, and you have right to have your own opinion.

 

Not unless they had the donator perks.

Now keep in mind most of the time we don't "goof around". If we do, it's simply our break. We deserve time to just have fun with our friends instead of constantly helping.
As for me, and other staff members, we watch the chat for those people who yell:
I NEED AN ADMIN !111 rEALLY BADLY PLEASE HELP!!
and other rulebreakers that may go to lobby.

Well IMO all staff members should be given disguise powers

 

I am thankful for what you guys do. You guys make the server fun and enjoyable to everyone. Especially to our young players who don't need to be seeing what is sometimes said in the chat. I don't see why everyone blames you guys. You guys check the server, forums, and teamspeak. Who would blame you guys for not posting and chatting all the time You have a lot to do already on the server and real life things.

Don't quote me on this, but I think mod+ have access to /v? But then a mod+ is doing a helper's job so...

 

Helpers cannot deal with hackers so it makes it harder to deal with.
If neither can record then I let higher staff know on Skype.

If though, you ask a mod and they are clearly not busy but yet goes 'Record and report', that's another can of fish.

I do that so that way we have something documented that they hacked previously.
