    I began studying English in 3rd grade. It was very easy for everyone as we were barely taught anything. I started playing RuneScape when I was about 8 years old. I barely understood anything, so my dad had to help me read.
    A few years later     my English was a bit better. I started playing Minecraft and eventually got to this server. This place is the best English lesson I've ever had.

    Since my grandparents dont speak English and they took care of me when I was little, English wasnt my first language. I learnt English from my parents and teachers once they enrolled me in school around kindergarten

    I grew up surrounded with English even though I'm native in French so I grew up with both languages and ended up speaking them both lol

    I lived in Virginia and Israel for three years each. I don't remember much of Virginia since I was a baby but I went to Israel rather recently (2011) and I was taught english by basically living my life normally in an american school I was placed to attend.

    Played Pokemon Red at 4 years old, still didn't understand anything.
    Played RuneScape around 8 years old, huge English boost.
    10 years old, played MapleStory. Pretty much mastered reading now, writing in the following 3 years.
    Still had a strong Dutch accent at this point, but really liked the American accent. So, started to study it, still working on it now

    I learned English from my parents and from a ESL course in my Pre School years Since then ive learned To Communicate and Get Around in 2 other languages aside from my 2 primal languages English & Cantonese

    I grew up with Lao as my first language
    because my grandparents babysat me
    while my parents went to work, until I was 5.
    I'm much stronger in English now than Lao.
