Your ideal significant other

Now, this is gonna be part of a series of threads that I base off of my real life experiences. My English teacher inspires us to write about certain topics and this is one of them.

The prompt is what follows:
"I want someone that will love me as I am, but somehow still inspire me to be a better person."
Describe your ideal significant other. What qualities would she/he/they possess? What would you want out of them and what would they want out of you?

For me, I don't care what they look like or even their gender. As long as they have the right heart, I wouldn't mind being with that person. I want them to love me for me and be independent so that I can learn from them. I want to be able to learn for the rest of my life and being with someone is an opportunity for me to learn. As I told one of my friends on this forum earlier, I want to at least share some interests, and more importantly, I want someone who will never grow old with age. I want to enjoy being with someone who'll always have the same personality because that's what I fell in love with.

As always, please keep replies forum-appropriate and respect other people's thoughts.

But, no for real...( not saying that I don't love Darren, because, I do ) one thing that I absolutely love about some guys, is if they can sing, and if they can sing, they have my heart. Unless they're a douche then lol, no. Uh, well... I would normally prefer them to be the opposite gender, absolutely no hate to homosexuals or anyone because I support y'all, LOVE YA. It'd be cool if they were athletic, like I mean, I guess... but I find some guys who are nerdy and gamers cute, so whatever. xd Someone to always know what to say whenever I'm down, and make me be a better person, likeee yeah. It'd be cooler too if we had the same interests then we can just like talk about it or smth xd. IF I FIND A GUY WHO LOVES GLEE THEN THEY'RE MY NEW BFF. I'm not really good with describing a lot, so.. yep. Oh & looks don't really matter to me, but hey, if they're hot too, then hot damn. All I can say really now is Darren Criss.

 

I don't have an "ideal significant other", but if I had to list some qualities I'd like to see in someone, these would be some:

- Loves music, has a close music taste to mine.
- Is very open-minded and accepting, since I'm quite a strange person irl.
- Can make me laugh.
- Can sing and/or play an instrument(s).
- Is into art.
- Is honest.
- Is quite confident and encouraging.
- Hm, intelligence is a big turn-on.
About the looks, doesn't really matter to me, if I find you attractive, then I find you attractive.

I don't really have an ideal significant other. Too many expectations would just corrupt the relationship and there'd be a lot of pressure. I don't mind who they are. They have their interests and I respect them. I don't judge them if they like anime or like different music to me. Although it'd be nice to have a lot in common, I want someone who is different to me so that I can revel and love and enjoy their uniqueness. All that really matters and what I care about is that I love them and they love me back. I might disagree with things that they do, but I love them unconditionally. I don't know who my significant other might be but if I fall in love with someone, that's just how it is.
I can't expect love. I can't find love. Love finds me.
If love is built and it's natural and it's not always based on pressure and expectations, it is meant to be.

 

I have a problem, I don't have any expectations for my significant other. Which lead to a lot of dates in my past..
I don't really care if she is a book lover, gamer, smart, dumb, athlethic, thin, fat, shy, tall, short, etc...
I'll just go with what love shows me.

I start to like people I don't expect to like, so I don't have any expectations. They could do be anyone and I'd still feel the same way.

 

I want a girl that can be herself around me, one that isn't scared to try new things and doesn't want to spend her entire life in tumblr.

I also really like a girl that has a sense of humor. Not just "yeah lol I'm bad at this". Like, practical jokes, funny anecdotes, yadda yadda.

And I'm a sucker for cuddling ::
