    Try relogging and restarting minecraft.
Try without any mods, including Optifine.
Connect on: oitc.itsjerryandharry.com , then use the compass to get back.
If you can type commands and you are stuck, try /die , but you will die.

From what I know about this error/bug, it is client side.

I've had things like this happen before. You see the "Unable to locate sign at" thing? When that happens, just log off, wait about 30 seconds, then connect again. If it doesn't happen then it'll be fixed. If it does happen again (which it shouldn't) close and re-open minecraft, then try to connect again.

Is the problem still happening? This seems like a client-sided problem

Yes seems like a client problem... If so when you relog it keeps doing it if a staff high could teleport them to the player, and maybe one of you could fix but if it keeps happening we know its a server problem. For now I am thinking it is a client problem.
