How can I make friends on the server?

So I've been playing on this server for 2 years now, and I just got active on the forums a couple of months ago, and I just realized that I really don't have any friends on the server. I know that this is a weird question, but how can I make friends on the server?

 

By putting yourself out there. Tell players who you are, participate in conversations, and become well-known.

 

Like Baconfry said, just talk to people and you will find people with similar interests.

 

Post on a lot of threads, become active on the server. :)

 

Pm me, I knowhow to get like-bot alts, and then people will like you because your popula- lol just kidding

 

I don't exactly have many friends on the server either.. But I keep my circle small. I find it easier to have less friends then you actually need.

 

Something you can do to talk to people is get on TeamSpeak C:
(thats how I made friends with people like @_Harold and @Joseph10003 )

and @NickerPan even tho hes irrelevant (jk ily

I always had a really funny way of making online friends, hehe

Easiest way is to find common ground. For example, say you're a Creative player. You see someone who is pretty approachable and builds some neat things. Message that person and exchange build ideas, ask if they'll be on later, and make plans to meet again next time. And now you have a buddy to play creative with :p

In my case, I made a great friend right after I joined the server. We had this mining trip on survival where no one knew each other, and two of us got scammed. While we were waiting for a mod to come help us, we started talking and became really good friends for quite sometime! :)

 

Become friends with someone who knows lots of people.

 

Find a group you want to be with. Like do you want to be a factions player? the hub people or the creative people?

Me, I consider myself as a creative person. In creative it's pretty easy to get friends just talk in chat about stuff and people would start saying hi to you.

In hub do the same thing try to hold a conversation with everyone

To be in the pvp faction cool kid group you need to have a boss op faction with 64781864178516578 million dollars

Go to build it, don't hang out with the bully squad
Hang out with the outcast squad
If you're nice you'll fit right in with us

 

Go around the server talk to people browse the forums and reply to the thread post threads and get your name out there

It's already answered for the server,
But if you want makes friends on the forums, (This post is still relevant to the topic) then know who's who first.
Know everyone around the forums, start from the biggest stars to the smallest stars. This way, you'll know their attitude, behavior, and manners. Which makes it easy for you to choose friends and avoid people you don't want to talk or mess with, some people are obvious to tell (By avatar, profile posts, threads, in-game reputation, etc..) while some are hard to tell (Really kind-looking people but they are really back-stabbers or mean in the inside) because they do it to save their image.

Try to participate topics in the forums, it's like a conversation in a groupchat. Topics that might appeal to you, speak it from your mind. (But not too much, honesty can tend to be powerful and chaotic here) Try to congratulate one's success, like a Post/like milestone or an anniversary or even a new pet in real life!

Don't disrespect people here, (Yes, even though some of here are) It's better to keep it neutral even to an enemy, because you'll create a flame war which won't be good consider the fact that we have staff watching over us. (Not stalking, as in Watch men and women) But not just that, it'll make the situation worse. You don't want to have a very long war with the enemy don't you?

Try to create topics that might appeal to some people around here, but don't make the ones that were made before.
Because it'll be repetitive and kind-of disrespectful to the owner of the ideal thread. To know that, search it in the IJAH search engine. Be specific about the thread you are about to make, you might accidentally copied a thread without knowing. But it's okay to copy a thread if it's old, like 2-3 months old.

Try to leave a post on someone's profile page, it could be a compliment, a congratulations messages, a happy message, or a random message. To create some sort-of first impression to someone or a way to connect more to the person.

And finally, try to add something in your information page. So we can know a bit better about you, not in a stalking purpose but in a knowing purpose. It can make someone interested talking to you, or a way for friends to know you better.

Just talk to a lot of people. Get to know them. Hang out with them. And you just earned a friend :).

 

My only friends are mandee_ and NJPunisher201 but they are inactive :(
