Hello, students. It's time for a grammar lesson going through many threads throughout the forums. First of all, this is not a serious thread. You guys are not stupid for making grammar mistakes, I was just bored and felt like doing this...

Our first example comes from a post from ~PandaCaity.
I am not as active as I used to be. I have multiple reasons...which I will list below.
1. Friends.
All of my friends are amazing but it feels like they don't even really like to talk to me anymore. :/2. School
My grades are not doing so hot, so I am trying to...upgrade those.3. IRL people.
Well, I am trying to bond more with the people I know in person. Most of you, I will never meet. l:
Those are literally all my reasons. So, if I start going way inactive, you now know why.

"IRL people" is incorrect, as WikiRigbyDude pointed out in that thread. IRL means "in real life". If you say "IRL people", you are saying "In real life people". The abbreviation IRL is an adverb, not an adjective.

Example: "I really need to focus on my grades IRL"
The word focus is the verb, and IRL describes that verb, which means it is an adverb.

Incorrect: "I need to focus on my IRL life"
The word IRL is used incorrectly to describe a noun, producing the awkward phrase "in real life life".

Next lesson, a certain word that none of us like to hear, with help from Computech88.

If you check the dictionary, it does say that suicide can be used as a verb, but that is only in an American dictionary. IRL people: in real life people You do have a point. It should be "people IRL" or "friends IRL" "I feel like suiciding too..." Part of me says NEIN, since it should be "I feel like I must commit suicide, too." I may be one of the Grammar Nazis, but hey, I make mistakes...
