[Poll]What defines a Terrorist?

Simple. Answer the poll/Discuss about it below. In my opinion if someone is threatening the well being of the public, no matter the looks, is a terrorist. Done.

Most terriorists are in a radical group (Al Qaeda, ISIS...) but some of those people could just be sending threats over the globe. What it takes to be a real terriorist; in my opinion; is damage the public and/or damage the government. I'm not really very knowledgable on this whole subject but that is what I believe and it is my opinion.

 

In addition to threatening the safety of the public, I believe a terrorist is radical, but not just Muslim. They'll go to extremes to make sure their voice is heard to the government. A terrorist could be anyone who threatens the government using social factors.
Off-topic, but the fact that most Americans believe that terrorists are Muslim is just downright stereotypical and racist. It's been said before, so not gonna go into it, but it's pretty much like the square and rectangle argument. People need to know the real definition of the term "terrorist," instead of associating it with 9/11, the Boston Marathon bombing, or Muslims.

 

If they injure/harm innocent people to send out their message, that's normally enough to be considered a terrorist.

Terrorists are people who follow the wrong religion, and have had wrong education(?).
Yes, their actions are not good, but half the time, they are not to blame.
They are also not Muslims, which you guys should most definitely not relate them to, as Muslims and Terrorists are two different sets of people.

Terrorists are people or groups of people who disrupt public safety. For example ISIS.

This is also very true in fact the reason people relate to terrorists as Muslims is because that's the religion they hide behind. Terrorists are mostly aetthiest which means they do not have a god.

 

You guys are saying terdoists can be anyone but you guys are referring to "isis" and "alqueida". I do agree they are terroists. But just muslim people. Americans are terroist too. Anyone can br a terroist.

There is a huge battle going on because the muslims are defending their oil. THEIR OIL FROM AMERICANS. this has happened before. Its their oil why do america needs take it? The father defends his country and his country's
oil but gets shot and killed. The little boy is left fatherless. Outcome? Both are terroists. Because the ruler/leader threatend his people or a communist. And the Americans trying to steal someone elses oil.
