In which minigame/server does the bug occur: Skyblock 2 and maybe 1 and 3

Detailed description of bug: So I made a cactus farm on my island and you know when you have a cactus farm you have water under to push the cactus to a hopper and the hopper takes the cactus to a chest correct? Well this is a really annoying bug for everyone. The bug is where when there is a dropped item in water it always gets glitched back. for example my cactus farm drops a lot of cactus but when that cactus is moving in the water it like teleports back and contuines and then teleports back again. it repeats that all the time. I went afk for over an hour and no cactus went in any hopper because of this bug. The cactus just moved and then glitched back and it just repeated. Please fix this bug asap! 2015-08-15_02.02.06.png

I had this problem before. It's normally just related to lag because of the entities. Now that I look at your username, hello FTW. Anyway, the picture you have shows that the blocks below the water are cobblestone. You can fix the problem by using ice or all hoppers like @FailedExperiment has done. It won't matter because the ice accelerates the velocity of the entity and hoppers are self-explanatory.
I can help you with it when I'm not busy by using an alt to fetch ice for you if you need it.

This practically answers your question perfectly, but I would also like to inform you that I'd recommend using all hoppers instead of water for the following reasons

    1) No block lag, for your solution

    2) Hoppers don't need height like water does, meaning you don't have to go 1 block higher every 8 blocks. Makes sense for more layers of a cactus farm right?

    3) Hoppers also provide extra storage. Let's say you go afk for a long time and your cactus farm fills up? Hoppers can act like mini storage systems (5 stacks per hopper)

    4) It just looks better in general.

If you do not wish to make hoppers because it is expensive, try using ice like Konohito said. It doesn't fix block lag but it will increase the speed of cactus "sliding" down your farm and into the chests.

I would use hoppers but my farm is a little too big for them and it would cost me so much. 2015-08-15_02.28.49.png

I wouldn't recommend this design, as your cactus farm is too big. Cactus only grows if you're within 20 blocks of it, so it wouldn't make sense to make such a huge farm if it doesn't work at full functionality. My 2 cactus farms are 41 x 17 and they both combined give me $576k to $1.4 million a day depending on how long I afk at them.

Are you sure that another piece of cactus isn't being added to the stack? If it was, the stack would "glitch" back to the place where the new piece of cactus fell

That's what is happening, but with ice or hoppers, ice accelerates the stack so that the other piece of cactus can't be added and hoppers just don't really care.

It's a common bug in all all servers for entities that drop near hoppers

It's caused by the horrible lag Harry is trying to fix.

It's not. It's because when 1 block drops and the same type of block drops again in the vicinity of the first one, it will take it back to the second one.

Another stack isn't being added or anything. You can try this on your own if you want. make a straight trail of water and drop 1 item in the water. Watch the item move and glitch and just repeat that a lot.

That is not what is happening. I made a trail of water on top of my island (away from my cactus farm) and I threw a cactus and it moved like 2 blocks and then spawned and or I can say moved back to the original block that it was dropped at. That is what is happening with my cactus farm. I just hope it gets fixed soon. Because I never seen this problem on other servers.
