There's so many overrated games, which ones do you think are overrated? In my opinion FNaF, MC and COD are the most overrated. The fanboys are literally everywhere.
There's a difference between the games themselves and the fans. FNaF is a [decent] game that could potentially be really scary for some people. It is a cool concept and lore, but other than that it's not that interesting. However, the FNaF Fandom is what makes it so overrated. Constantly sexualizing fictional animatronics and overanalyzing every last bit of the game, and being wayyy too hyped over the next release, is what makes the games overrated. MC is a cool game with [bad] graphics but a cool game in which you can unleash your creativity and basically do whatever you want. There's lots of mods that make the game pretty interesting, but if you're just talking about Vanilla MC, it's not that exciting after a while. However, the MC Fandom consists of a lot of younger and younger kids defending the game and taking it way too seriously, and making all the MC merchandise fly off the shelves, and fighting about whether Herobrine is real or not. This is what makes the games overrated. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of members in the MC and FNaF community that don't do any of these things, and that are reasonable when it comes to being excited about a game, but a lot of members in fandoms do these things, which is why these games become labelled as "overrated."
You can thank the online furries for that. Anyways, Kawaii is right, it's the fandoms that ruin the games. Nevertheless, here's my list of Overrated games. -COD -FNAF -Minecraft -GTA V
I would say FNaF but, people like making theories for the game. That's why it's so like-able I guess. That's how I got into it. Team Fortress 2 Minecraft Pokemon - The game is fun at first but after you beat the game, all there is to do is shiny hunt, train pokemon, and battle others. Agar.io
Certainly agar.io you get over it in a few minutes. I always see these massive cells (aka people who play non-stop) and it's no fun when you're killed. [Minecraft] is very overrated. The fact how they're making a movie for it, that will be so stupid I can just imagine. The graphics are okay, nothing that excited. However, as @kawaiitoast stated it's the players who wreck it. That also includes the hackers, people who rage over nothing etc. The game use too be exciting everybody was talking about it, but now it's just really sad. The 1.9 update looks like modded survival; and people have ruined servers w/ hackers n some advantage mods.
They're making a fucking movie for it? Jesus, we're screwed. This generation screwed up ;-; Call of Duty is overrated, as well as FNaF and TF2.
