But intelligence and maturity really go hand in hand so it's hard to say.

I would say myself for intelligence in addition to the two people mentioned above, however I got a warning point recently for getting carried away in a thread, which was unintelligent, so I guess that highlights my inconsistencies and the reason I won't put myself up here. Yes, I have High-Functioning Autism and was diagnosed at age 2, @LaColeman. My IQ is 136 from the last test I took with a professional.

I strongly disagree. Some people are born more intelligent than others naturally, but that doesn't make them more mature. For example, I go to a gifted academic (not STEM) school, and you have to apply and test and stuff to get in, and so everyone there is obviously intelligent, but some people are the most immature and annoying people I've ever met. With that being said, since I can't really judge a person's intelligence based on their personality, I don't have an opinion on the most intelligent.

As for maturity, many people are mature with immature sides, but I would definitely have to go with either @ImNotOkayy or @Stockable

I do agree that mature people have immature sides.

I think you might've misinterpreted my sentence, however. I strongly disagree with your main argument. I believe that to be intelligent as a whole (that means more than just IQ,) you have to be a mature person. So your school may consist of gifted people (gifted meaning academically ONLY right?), but that doesn't mean that they are wholly intelligent because their emotional intelligence must at least be low if they are consistently annoying and immature. I like your point and the fact that you back it up with evidence, but for the reasons above, the idea that intelligence and maturity go hand in hand is my unchanging opinion.

Edit: If you think this is all intuition, that would be incorrect according to the concept of multiple intelligences, which you can look up online. If the multiple intelligences are proven to be nonexistent, please feel free to correct this argument.

 

Neither had / have Autism. It is thought that Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton both had Asperger syndrome, which is a form of Autism. Same with Bill Gates - and even though he is still alive and we live in a time where it's almost impossible to keep "secrets" with the internet, social media and camera phones in your face every where you go, there still has never been any confirmation nor admission of that diagnosis. Just speculation by arm chair physicians.

While Asperger's is in the spectrum of Autism, it is still much different - even in comparison to high functioning Autistic people. I won't go into details, but I have a lot of experience with both.

Since you have been diagnosed, you probably know there is no definitive test. There are a number of tests, behaviors and symptoms that must all be analyzed before a diagnosis is made. Two different doctors may not even agree.

 

The word "intelligence" has various interpretations.
If you're talking about IQ, it's about raw thinking skill and problem solving ability(maybe).
You can do well and be "intelligent" in school subjects but not have a very high IQ, since a lot of it is based on how much you study and your work ethic, which is E.Q.(Emotional Quotient)

Maturity comes with age and experience(no, not the online type of experience), and depending on your view of intelligence, can be either related or unrelated to it. If you're looking at school intelligence then work ethic will improve your studies. So technically you can be smarter by being a responsible person and doing your homework. However, if you're looking at I.Q., then probably not. Raw talent does not come with age and experience, those things contradict each other in a way.

I'm quite happy this turned out into a legitimate debate though, haven't had many educated conversations here in quite a while.
