Welcome! We've finally launched Riparian! It may take some time to get to all the applications and examinations, so keep that in mind. We spent a lot of time getting the website and forums set up. It's all ready to go!

My goal, as the President of Riparian, is to provide you with the best opportunity to participate in our community as possible. I also want you to have a good experience, or base, to begin and hopefully flourish even after your time with us, if it does, ends. Reasoning for Slogan:

The definition of Riparian is of, relating to, or situated or dwelling on the bank of a river or other body of water. We also primarily play First Person Shooters or Minecraft. It also just so happens we 360 no scup illuminati confirmed Half-life 3 shock swap ladder stall yy wallbang headshot while eating dewritos and chugging Dew Mountain Red Flavor. You can probably put the two and two together.

Ranking System:

Ranking up is a matter of dedication, effort, work completed, and respect for others. If you do these things, you will rise through the ranks at your own pace.

Member:

President: The President carries out the wishes of the people after a vote with several of the high officials. A Straw poll is taken first where the people vote. It is taken into consideration during the final vote. The President can remove and accept applications.

Vice President: The Vice President advises the President on certain actions. He/She can accept and deny applications. The Vice can test applicants.

High Officials: High Officials can suggest applications to be accepted. High Officials can also take suggestions from the community, and notify the Vice and President of them.

Drill Sergeants: These players test people for PvP during the second phase of an application. They also have the same abilities as officers (they can report disturbances, etc).

Officers: Officers keep members in check, and report any violations of protocol. Officers cannot test applicants.

Members are the applicants. They can enjoy the perks of being in Riparian, and participate in Clan Battles, etc.

Recruitment:

Since Riparian Gaming is based primarily on the Minecraft Branch, and that this is a server based on Minecraft, that is the only portion of the group we will go over in this post. If you wish to see other branches or post your app on our forums visit www.riparianmc.weebly.com


1) Determine which area of Minecraft you feel that you are the most skilled in: PvP or Building. If you chose PvP, go to two. If you chose Building, go to three.

2) We accept Pvp’ers of all types. You could excel at Minecraft Survival Games, One in the Chamber, or any other form of PvP to be considered for the team. Fill out the required portions of the application listed later on in the post.

3) We want Bob the Builder; unfortunately, he is fictitious person, so instead we get you...ugh. Jokes aside, you must be skilled and efficient when it comes to building, without Voxl or WorldEdit (though it is okay if you know how to use these programs efficiently). Skills in architecture and terraforming are preferred for map-builders. Fill out the required portions of the application listed later on in the post.

Application, Part I:

Here is the format to apply. Your answers can be simple or long, just remember if they are simple, they have to be impactful. If you want to give us part of even all of your application through email/Skype that is completely okay! We understand the need to have privacy. Any information you give us will be completely confidential and will never be shared with others.

NOTE: PvP applicants, we will mainly look at the personal questions and the In-game Exam. Statistics are important, although they are really just a number. You could be amazing at the game and have a K/D of eleven, but if you are arrogant and disrespectful to others, the likelihood of you becoming part of the group decreases significantly. We realize that some of you may trickshot or otherwise ruin your stats or K/D by not trying. If this sounds like you, state the reason your stats are less than they should be in the Extra Comments section! Video Evidence of you playing can help, but don't worry! If you can't record that is absolutely fine. It will not impact you. Just add the video, if you have one, to the Extra Comment section.

Application, Part II:

After review about the questions above, we will decide if you can move to the next step. If you do move to this step you will 1v1, which means a Single Player versus Another, a Drill Sergeant. All PvP applicants will be required to 1v1 a Drill Sergeant on the OITC portion of the ItsJerryandHarry server to be accepted. We will set up a time through PM (on the ItsJerryandHarry website), Skype, or email within a few days, depending on the Drill Sergeant testing you’s (and your) availability. Some exceptions will be made. If OITC is not your thing, we will decide another way to test your PvP skill. For now, only @SlackingToaster and myself, @Nano, can test people. You must get a kill sum of 12, 3/5, or greater in OITC, but statistically we can get a better idea of how good you are with a best two out of three, so that's exactly what we're doing. Drill Sergeants and above who decide to test you may ask to play in a public match with you as well, not just a 1v1. We encourage you to give us information from more than one PvP application as shown above. This will increase your chances of getting accepted.
