Those words were said to me by a classmate because I didn't know what snapchat was and how to use it.
    I had a minor epiphany.
I never know what the latest funny vines are, I can't keep up with the new social medias, I use social media but I use it to discuss controversial topics and "the horrors of feminism"
I don't know any popular songs because I listen to my own playlists. So therefore I'm labeled "ignorant" and "clueless" in class.

But is ANY of that stuff going to really matter next year? No. It's going to just change all over again. I find the teenage world very babied and protected. I bring up controversial topics (Gay Rights, Feminism, Religion) in casual conversation because I think it's healthy to create your own opinions on these things starting at my age. (15) instead of being like "well my family is republican, so I'm republican" i care alot about what's going on in the world because we're going to be a big part of it later on. I'm all for having fun in your life, but not to the point where you become consumed with it. Sorry if i came off rude or too worried about how the world will play out. Thoughts??

I tend to live a bubble. I don't use social media, well I have it but I don't use it. I'm behind on everything, and I find that to be a good thing.
I love living in my own world, of art, music and not giving a shit. The latest trends and shit, I'm behind and I don't really care for them.
Human rights*, Feminism, Religion and so on and so forth shouldn't be controversial at all. Yes, I have my opinion but it's crazy how I'm judged every single time I try and talk about them. Like I've said before, I don't care. You can have an opinion all, that's great I respect that but once it starts taking someone's rights away it's called discrimination. I enjoy talking about them. I care a lot about the world and what's going on as well, yknow.
Well you know for me it's astounding how concerned others are with other people's happiness. you know? and it's never been gay rights, you know? it's always just been human rights. you know? i hate that other people can't co-exist and understand that whatever someone is however they were born or whatever makes them happy. has no effect on you and what you're doing. some people's unhappiness needs to come out to put out anybody else's flame. and that's always been hard for me to swallow. I don't understand why that is. I'm very afraid of the world, and what will happen.
Like, no matter your race, sex, gender, and so on I'm going to treat you no different. Everyone is equal but different in their own good ways. The internet has reduced everyone's opinions to the value of zero nowadays, it's crazy. I'm more for saying your opinion, than just keeping it in. You can have opinions about anything that is happening in the world at any age. There shouldn't/isn't a starting point. My family is against me for thinking a lot of the things I think. There are some things I'd like to not feel, but I'm not built like that. Take feminism, I don't want to be labeled as anything. I believe everyone is equal and deserved equal treatment/jobs and so on. Equality of the sexs? I'm all for it. I'm for ending stupid gender roles, and stereotypes. Religion, people can believe whatever they want to. I'm fine with that. Personally I do not have one, my family does but I've decided on my own path. The teenage world, I'm super confused on what that is because I have raised myself to not give two shits what anyone thinks of me, to be nice to everyone, and to be fuhkin fearless. I do what I want, when I want but with limits. hey I gotta have them.
There is no way to sum up what I think, I could state exactly what I think. But it's not exactly worth my time at all. If I think of something else that is worth saying, I will state as I search for my purpose. if anyone gets offended by anything I said, please tell me. Sorry.

Even recently I had to sever ties with a good friend because I couldn't stand his homophobia & southern sympathizing. Considering that so many states are furious with the democratic system and apparently want a country that bases laws off religion, like Saudi, Iran, or ISIS. Not to mention the racists & white supremists using the CF as a way to show their existence. I do not find it unreasonable that many states would rebel again, and that is a scary thought. Hopefully the US as a country survive until Obama's presidency is over, and maybe our next president(whoever it may be) will solve issues in our country(Poverty, Police Brutality, Fracking)more than issues outside our country(Iran, ISIS, Syria), especially if people like ISIS are really looking for our demise. What I don't understand is why we are a SECULAR country and people keep referencing God & The Bible in arguments. It just doesn't make sense. Another thing that doesn't make sense: Gay & Trans discrimination. There is nowhere in the bible that says "Hate Gays, they are Devil Spawns", is there? The bible is something you interpret to code your life, not the lives of others. I am Pro Gay Marriage, Pro Choice, Pro Drug Legalization, & Anti War. Pro Gay & Pro Choice bc these are problems caused by Christian Conservatives and this is a secular country. We do what we want. Pro Legalization because people have STOPPED using drugs after legalization. And if someone is addicted, they need help, not jail time. And Anti War bc war is just really stupid and we shouldn't even be in the Middle East soo . . .

This is just what I believe in and I'm sorry if my opinions offend others, whoever it may be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am like this as well my friends call me weird and stuff. However the second I ask them "So what religion do you follow?" they turn to the statement "My whole family is Muslim/christian so I'm Muslim/christian". I am the only atheist out of my friends, they all don't know what to say when I mention animal cruelty because none of them have animals and their parents don't talk to them about it. And when we get into religious arguments the first thing they say to me is "So why aren't you religious, lots of your family are". I just think why should I be religious? Why should I be homophobic (a few of my friends are homophobic but my family are not)? Why should I support the conservatives? (I live in the UK). I feel like parents are scared to talk to their children about these issues, I think that they are scared that their child may have a different opinion than them. Or parents shield people my age. We are 14 and people just think "Oh they're just an immature teenager they don't need to know about the issues of the world just make their life perfect until they turn 21 and they get thrown into the real world". This kind of thing actually scares me my friends are intelligent girls and they just get protected from anything. When we had our general elections none of them cared except for the fact that one was called Edward Balls ( I bet you can guess why). It scares me and worries me this kind of shielding and babying.

I love being an independent person who doesn't have to survive by following latest trends. For music I tend to listen to my personal choices, such as the Halo OST and rock from the 20th century. I don't use much social media, except for Halo Waypoint, IJaH, and Youtube. I tend to hate lot of modern trends. Being labeled as "ignorant" and "clueless" doesn't make you a bad person, @NinjaGumball it simply means that the others labeling you as that is in fact really misled and clueless, not knowing that different people have different tastes.
