Minecraft Can't play on 1.8

Hey guys. So this problem has been happening on my parents their laptop. I just can't go on 1.8. I can start it up, get the minecraft menu, but when I click on Multiplayer for example, it freezes, and crashes. You guys know how to fix this?

 

I suggest reinstalling minecraft

Try the 1.8.4 jar

 

I've tried like, all kinds of possibilities. Just everytime I click on Multiplayer it freezes and crashes. :L

 

Are you using the old or the new launcher?

And are you using any mods (optifine)?

 

New launcher. And with Optifine yes.

 

Try now without optifine

 

That's actually more of a blessing than a curse... 1.8 sucks.

 

No. I always play on 1.8 dude.. It's only the PC where I play it on is broken..

Delete minecraft and try the old launcher

 

Have you tried looking in your video settings for graphics that may be lagging the game down? Try nerfing your settings a little, and if that doesnt work try switching to the default texture pack as some texture packs can lag your game.

 

As I said, I can't open any tabs like Multiplayer, Settings or anything. It freezes the game. No texture pack used, and low video settings.

@Sellz I have been researching and many people have been having this problem with 1.8. They will fix it in the next version or the next update right now there are login bugs multiplayer bugs slowness and java STS bugs.

 

What's the crash report? We can't do anything without a crash report.

 

Okay, so I got it fixed. It was a problem of my Java being an ass. I re-installed it and now it works again.
