Yes, but staff understand the problems. That's all I'm really trying to say.

Darling, the people who act rude and sassy (it's pretty obvious who they are by now) do not intend to be popular, they just have fun being rude and sassy.
Do you know how a person becomes popular? A person becomes popular when many other people like them. It's not like that person wakes up one day and decides "I'm your new queen, bow down for me".
If so many people like and respect those "mean and sassy" people, maybe it means something ya know

I really love the new "drama threads are allowed" rule. Really makes me feel all warm and appreciated for all the threads I wasn't able to make back when that wasn't a thing.
I've seen so many threads just like this one get closed. I'm not saying it's right, I'm not saying it's wrong, but no consistency = no swag.
And this ain't consistent at all.

I don't like drama, and drama over the internet seems pointless to me, this isn't real-life. This is a game and a place for weird/funny pictures/videos, I agree some staff members can be rude sometimes, but let's be honest. Everyone is rude to some point. And we can't fix these problems with making threads like this, ItsHarry, ItsJerry, and MrDeathWilliam are probably trying to fix this as we speak, we cannot have a perfect community. It's just simply not possible! but we can work hard and improve over the years and become the best we can possibly be. Since we aren't staff, we don't have /mods or access to the staff chat, so we don't know what they do or how hard they work. not trying to be rude or anything just stating my opinion. We don't know what they do or how hard they work so who are we to judge them? #OnlyGodCanJudgeMe.

And who cares about being "popular" as long as you have a fun time on the server and make new friends. It's not about reputation, permissions, etc. It's about having fun with your friends.

I don't realy see what the big deal of the drama thread rule is here. Common sense should tell you that drama threads cause uproars in the community because people either take them the wrong way or are just looking for trouble. We are improving as a team. We've had improvements behind closed doors and we are working on rebuilding the team so we can move forward. Things don't happen at the click of a finger. It takes time. We don't want to be hiring people of all sorts without having a great idea of what they are like. As for the thread, I like the idea of it and it's nice to know that people are concerned but there isn't any need to get repetetive :). Thank you though.

I don't really understand why people are saying ''what happened to the drama thread rule''.. It is still in place, and is punishable with 5 warning points in the forums.

It's in the rules: ''Don't deliberately start drama." - but ok, I'll add a little piece of text that says that is it punisheable with 5 warning points just to make sure there is no doubts from now on.

Also, we don't just remove threads at random for ''Drama! Drama!'', we actually put some thought into it. The most ridiculous cases of ''drama threads'' used to be punisheable. Now only legit drama threads are punisheable, always were.

I find it funny how threads like this are complaining about drama when in reality the people who make them start the drama themselves;)

Alrighty, since we're stating opinions, here's mine.
Regarding drama-threads, I think that people have a hard time understanding what a drama thread is. A drama thread is a thread that is probably driving hate, etc at others or something along those lines. An apology thread is not a drama thread. Why? Well because when you apologize, you're trying to prevent drama rather than drive it towards you, but that's just my opinion. Also, looking for attention is also something a lot of people tend to think is the case when it's not. You're looking for attention when you deliberately say something that's not true so that people feel sympathy, etc for you. Threads about being sick are a different case. Why? Because it's not looking for attention if you're trying to inform people that you trust about something that bothers you. That's what friends are all about, right? That's my opinion.
Regarding popularity and sass, that's a different story too. As stated above by Fawn, a lot of people are popular because they're good people, and that's why a lot of people appreciate them. That doesn't mean that when this popular person makes a mistake, it doesn't matter. Being popular isn't an excuse for anything. We're all still people sitting behind computer screens, remember? Obviously there's unpopular people, and that doesn't mean you're not a good person or anything, it just means you're not standing out enough, and that's not a bad thing. Sometimes it's a good thing to be unnoticed, it helps in different cases. Now some of you have told me, "Why do you think this? You're popular so it's not true." Well, I'm not exactly popular for all good reasons myself, but I'm not going into detail about that right now.
About sass, this is what I feel strongly about. I have been in countless teamspeak channels, skype groups and calls, etc where people are talked about behind their back and are being sassy. I've even done this myself once, I regret it too. Being sassy isn't always rude, but when it is, it's obviously taken too far. You can be sassy in silly way, but you can also be sassy in a disgustingly rude way. You can go wrong both ways. How? Because you aren't in anyone elses pov but yourselfs, so you don't know what it feels like for the person. If you're deliberately being sassy to be rude, then honestly you can take this somewhere else. This is a minecraft server we're talking about. Yet again this is just my opinion.
The reason why I repeatedly said, "this is just my opinion" is because if I didn't, I know a few of you would suspect I was speaking for others too. I'm speaking for myself here. This is just my opinion.

Actually this is completely false. If a thread is not directly insulting someone, it is not "drama." Plus, I don't understand this comment at all. Jordan never complained about drama, he complained about things that start drama. For example, some staff cause drama and so do some community members. Jordan was simply talking and stating his opinion on these topics. For you to say that people who make these threads cause drama, is ridiculous. Did my thread cause drama? No. Was the purpose of my thread to cause drama? No. Did people take my thread way out of proportion and make assumptions that it was a drama thread? Yes. The people who read these threads determine if it is drama or not. Jordan though, did not start any drama. It is simply how you interpret the thread. So many people on here cause more drama than me and Jordan. We just want to help the server and if you want to interpret this as drama, you can, but you are wrong. Me and Jordan didn't make our threads to start things, we made them to fix things in the community that we didn't like. It simply depends on how you look at. To us, this is not starting drama, but to others, it could be seen as starting drama.

Long story short, this is not meant to cause drama and that was not the intent of mine or Jordans thread. This is to help the community, which in my opinion, is going down hill.

But there are better ways to help the community than bitching. Complaining doesn't solve shit, so in reality, these threads don't help anyone and get people riled up. Thus, it is a drama thread.

Wrong again. This thread was not complaining, but like I have said before, it is all about how you perceive it. Also, these threads don't get people "riled up." This thread was to state Jordans opinions on certain topics and he didn't tag anyone or direct it at anyone, so if people choose to get "riled up" then that is their problem.

So you're saying that if I make a thread talking shit about the staff team & tell the administrators how to run their staff them, that people won't get riled up and turn to drama, as long as I don't tag anyone? Seems legit.

K, I think we're good here. As @MC_Scout said earlier, we're just beating a dead horse. Now we're just beating a pile of bones, so it's time to call a quits.

It's again the exact same discussion, we've heard it enough already. This is the third thread about what's wrong with the staff members and community blah blah, we get it.

I don't want to violate your freedom of speech and everything, but how about we all just stop making threads about all the issues and start focusing on the positive things instead?
