Why have that when you can get OS X El Capitan? I signed up for the best a program, and it adds some nice improvements and new features.

Regardless of this "icon" the Windows 10 OS will be expensive, they're beta testing it, and if you got to beta test Windows8, you're able to for Windows10. Later in the year it will be released for a 1-year trial, then you'll be paying roughly $300.

As for illegal versions of windows, it stays the same as any other copy.

I also think Windows 8 is fine. Gaming is good on it provided that nothing much is running on the background. I can play TF2, Portal 2, SCP Containment Breach, Company of Heroes, and Battlefield 3 without any problems. The design is great, too. Interface might take some time to get used to but it's very good. I don't have so much issues.
As for Windows 10, I would have to see whether it's actually better for me.

I have legitimate Win8, but haven't updated in ages lol

 

Windows10 is exactly like Windows8, but instead of the entire desktop being the blocky theme, the startmenu is. So, apps have the squared border and flat look, as does the taskbar + startmenu, but the desktop is windows 7 featured (No scrolling for apps, icons are in front of you when you log in.

 

I personally find the blocks very useful. Could be only me, though. Everything in Win8 is great for me, so... nope. Not getting Win10 anytime soon.

 

I personally would like to remain on W7 for a while, before having to update for DirectX12. The Windows 7 UI is a lot better, and in my opinion more user friendly.
