Your Opinion(Survey)!

Hello, Perc here, and I bring something new to the table. I call it "Your Opinion" or [YO] as a tag. The idea is that if I or anyone feels that there is a topic that needs to be discussed amongst the community and/or staff team, they can simply make a Google Form and in the title put a [YO]. Once the form is made simply take the shorter link to send, address the topic(Mine right now is Staff Ediquette) and put the link to the form. Once the surveyer feels that they have suffecient answers. They may share it in the person(s) they feel is appropriate.


I have noticed that after @Joseph10003's thread, staff has realized that they need some fixing. So, the community helped them notice, and the community should help them a bit more. Staff are here for the community and the community should be able to input their opinions on staff. So, I made this survey for everyone to take. It is completely anonymous but there is a text box to put your name in if you wish. All opinions and statements will be recorded and I'm hoping to collab with the staff team by sending them the results. You can get to the form here. Course this is a good idea.
Of course, now that one person comes out of nowhere and makes a thread, this means that we need to change instantly. Because no one else has been advocating getting the forums changed this entire time. Not a group of people that wanted opinions to be free, a group of people that have made countless threads and have, at times, been admonished for doing so.
Nah, that never happened.

I will call out the staff right here, right now, regardless of the relevancy to the thread: what happened to us? We've been trying this whole time. What's so different about this occasion? Why do we get no credit for our own countless attempts?


Meh. It's a good idea, I agree that it should exist, but I'm both disappointed and enraged that we weren't heard earlier, and the community's ceaseless self-contradiction.

 

I think it was finally the time and people who contributed to @Joseph10003's thread that sparked staff's self-fixing. I am sure so many others understand how you feel, and the whole purpose of this thread is to get your opinions heard, because the results are going directly to @MrDeathWilliam, the highest staff member that I've known and interacted with on a very good level.

It's a great idea, but the form itself needs some tweaking.

First, this is minor, but it's "etiquette".

Second, some required fields aren't really mandatory. Let me elaborate:
"How do you feel the staff team is* doing?"
If I answered "at their finest", I wouldn't have to put something in the next question, "if staff can do one thing better, what would it be?". If I already think the staff are doing their job perfectly, what would I answer to the next question? Same goes to the staff problems field.

Third, that Helper applicant question. I don't think we have a true say on who becomes Helper. We aren't really voting, are we? You're going to send the results to staff, and it would look like an election for the next staff member.

Those are the ony problems I can see, but otherwise, the concept is good.

Ok, I'm going to close this thread(The form will still be open). But before I do, I'd just like to say that you can do [YO]s too! Simply make a google form with questions that you'd like to ask the community on a topic. The idea of [YO]s are to allow the community to ask each other questions, bring up topics, and converse in a way that is beneficial. And if(depending on the topic) the results effect the staff team or you believe they should see the Survey results, PM a staff member! It wouldn't hurt and the idea of [YO]s are for everyone to use!

Note! Using [YO]s to ask trivial or controversial questions(Do you like these members, Do you want resets, Anarchy, ect.) is abusing it! If I see people abusing [YO]s or making multiple [YO]s for the sametopic, I will retract the public use of it! A moderator's edit will update the post is said happens.
