Adventures of Percy Jackson: It's back!

After a long break, I'm bringing back my old fan-fiction. With new community members... and thats about it. But I hope you like this first chapter.

Chapter 1
Capture the flag
​

When Eli heard that Camp Half-blood was safe, he wanted to go there more than anything. It sounded so much better constantly fighting off those... creatures at his house, with no one to accompany him but his grandparents, who couldn't see the monsters for some reason. But when he saw all the teenagers armed with swords and bows, he wasn't so sure that it was safe. But when he'd previously pulled Chiron aside to ask, he had assured Eli that it would be fine, now normally he wouldn't believe something like that, but when Chiron said it... The centaur sounded more honest than anyone he had ever talked to.
About an hour after the tour that one of the campers, one of the campers, Madison, had given him a tour of the camp, which was really beautiful, He was called to dinner. which was held inside a large rectangle of Greek columns, He thought he heard Annabeth saying something about there being more people than usual, But he decided not to dwell on it. The pavillion had no roof, so you could look up at the slowly darkening sky. and the tables all held a different kind of group, almost like a high school, but it wasn't the same as that. At one table was a big group of what would typically be potrayed as a bully; A bunch of big, mean looking teenagers, the oldest one looked almost 19. Eli made sure to keep his distance. At the next table was an even larger group of kids of all sorts of ages, the youngest one maybe eleven. Most of them had that evil troublemaker smile that Eli usually saw right before a big prank was pulled at school. The next table didn't look so bad.
Yet another table that was filled by a large group of kids that looked like they we're having the time of their life in the Bahamas, They all wore Camp Half-blood T-shirts with a mix of jeans and Bermuda shorts. Some of them we're counting arrows, a few we're switching out strings on acoustic guitars, the Apollo campers. now those people Eli could hang out with. He was almost tempted to walk over and chat when suddenly Chiron was behind him. "Since you haven't been claimed by your mother or father, you are welcome to sit at table. Chiron guestured to an almost empty table, where a few lonely looking campers we're tapping their fingers on the wooden surface, and Riley was amongst them, trying to talk to one of the campers. He'd much rather be talking about music with the Apollo kids, but Chiron made the guest table sound inviting. "Fine." Eli sighed, then walked over to the guest table.
As Eli waked over to the table, It turned out Riley had started a conversation with one of the campers. "-Just came in from the bay area." The camper said. "Oh, What's the bay area like? I've only been there once." Riley said. "Well, it would've been better without all the monsters there." The camper sighed. "Hi guys, sorry to interrupt." Eli said as he sat down. "Hi, I'm Amy." The camper held out her hand, and Eli took it. "Are you unclaimed too?" He asked. "Well, for now, Chiron said I might be claimed at the campfire." Amy said. "So how did they find you?" Riley asked. "Well, there was this guy- BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. A loud thumping noise echoed from the front of the room. Eli looked over and saw Chiron standing amongst everyone. "Heroes!" He shouted. "With our camp fully recovered from the battle of the Athena Parthenos, We can now continue our weekly schedules." Chiron paused to let the lecture sink in, A wave of snickering came from the bully table. "Which means that Capture the flag will start this evening, I see some of you already have the proper gear." Chiron said. At first Eli had no idea what he was talking about, then he realized he had seen some of the Apollo kids switching out bow strings rather than guitar strings.
"Once all of you are ready, The game will be held in the forest, The River is the border between territories. Magic items are allowed, and I will serve as refree and battlefield medic. Chiron said. "I think we can help you." A voice shouted from the back of the crowd. Eli recognized it as Lor, from the evacuation in Kansas. "Excuse me?" Chiron asked. "Well, If you're letting us Romans play, we can help as medics too, right?" The Roman said. "How do you propose to do this?" Chiron asked. "Well, we have eagles that can snatch up the wounded, and drop them down safely where We'll be waiting to heal the campers." Chiron hesitated. "I suppose." He said. it was the first time he had sounded unsure, meanwhile Every word of the Capture the flag lecture seemed worse and worse. Magic weapons? Battlefield medic? Eli didn't like anything he was hearing. "The Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Nemesis, Posideon cabins, and Thrid Second, and First Cohorts will be on the Red team. the Fourth, and Fifth cohorts, and all the other cabins will be on the blue team." Each team has thirty minutes to prepare."
The prepration was a blur. Plans had been thought out, Eli had been given a set of armor that was way too big for him, and he'd been handed a real bow, with real arrows, and a real quiver. And for some reason it actually felt right. I guess Percy had told someone that he was an archer. the flag had been placed at the mouth of a small cave. deep in the red team half of the forest. "Hey Eli?" Percy asked from across the forest. "Yeah?" He turned toward Percy's voice. "I'm gonna put you and Amy on flag defense along with a few others, can you guess what that is?" He asked. "Um, Do i have to guard the flag?" Eli asked. "Yeah, along with a few others." Percy said. "Just stay here, and yell if you need help." he said. Asking for help wasn't something Eli did well, that probably wouldn't change here. "I'll go help in the battle. you guys guard the flag." and Percy was gone. leaving Eli, Amy, and a few others to guard the flag.

Sorry for the double post, but I stormed through the morning and made another chapter. Which to me, is the best one yet. So I hope you guys love this one too.

Chapter 2.
Eli gets a ton of Siblings.​

After Percy left, one of the campers had told him to find a hiding spot so they could ambush someone if they came to take the flag. So a few minutes later, Eli was nestled in a large bush above the cave, ready to pop out. About half an hour passed, He listened to the sounds of metal clashing against metal in the distance. but no one was here. Then he heard footsteps.
Eli looked at the mouth of the cave, and someone was approaching. Eli couldn't see his or her face through the bushes, but as far as Eli could tell, no one from his team would've been ordered to check on us. We had enough people here already. Still sitting in the bushes, Eli wondered what to do. The footsteps grew closer. Finally, he decided he'd just attack. He notched an arrow and then stood up, out of the bushes. The attacker was much closer than he expected, and within grabbing distance. Eli fired an arrow, but she had already seized the flag and started running.With a shock he realized it was Lor along with a few others. She was one of the Romans that had rescued him at Kansas. He would not hurt her. "Guys she has the flag!" Eli yelled. A few of the campers ran after her, but she was too fast. Eli had to do something. He notched another arrow. Eli had a plan, but he was almost sure it wouldn't work. Another friendly camper jumped in front of her and swung his sword, but she ducked and tackled him. She quickly got back up and kept running. Eli had to act before it was too late. He let his arrow fly. Everything around him seemed to slow down, He was much too far away, but he could see the arrow stick to the wooden flagpole with distant Thwack! "H-how did... How did I do that?" Eli asked to no one in particular. Over where the flag had dropped, the tables we're turning. One of the campers had yelled for help, and Percy was there within a minute, along with atleast 30 others. distracting most of the enemies, fighting like a madman while some of the friendlies carried the flag to safety,
only it had an arrow sticking through it.
As if the flag recovery hadn't been enough, Eli heard the sounds of the distant battle come closer, and he realized it wasn't a battle, it was a large combination of Footsteps, and armor clashing together. He looked over to where the noises were coming from, and he knew they were dead for good. Riley had the blue flag in his grasp, but half of the enemy team was behind him. "Help!" He shouted. and Eli realized what was going on. If Riley got the enemy flag to ours, the game would be won. "Riley, over here!" Eli yelled, and let Riley run past him to the cave. Then he turned toward the impending army started taking aim. Each time he landed a shot, an eagle swooped out of the trees and snatched up the wounded camper. causing the enemies to spread out. Not good. "Guys I need help!" Eli yelled "Come on guys, we can do this!" Percy yelled. and Eli's team ran past him. And the two mini-armies clashed. "Eli yelled in defiance, but he couldn't even hear himself over the battle. Then he remembered Riley with the flag, And Eli broke away from the battle and turned around to escort Riley to the flag once and for all. He peacefully set down the blue flag next to the red one. and they just stood there. Then Chiron trotted up next to Eli and Riley. "Red team wins!" He yelled. The battle came to a halt. And then the strangest thing happened. A light yellow glow illuminated everything within twenty feet of him. Everyone else was taken by suprise but Chiron just smiled. "All hail Eli Iero, Son of Apollo, god of The Oracle, Poetry, Medicines, and Archery. Eli looked finally looked above him. And he saw the symbol of a lyre that was engulfed in beautiful gold fire. Eli had just been claimed as a son of Apollo.
