This is going to be the last thread from the happy ol' me. You're gonna be dealin' with my grumpy side.

Several things, to be made short.

First of all, I pretty much found out that I've got no friends. I'm a no-lifer. Oh noes, I've got friends around myself irl, on hypixel, but just not here.

I find those sickening, stupid, and plainly for attention seeking. Do I need examples?

So far, the only person who I knew he didn't really come back after a leaving thread was ClemensMine. I respect him for that, after his own death thread.

Rule Enforcers.


Yes, I'm talking about you here, the certain few who'd report a newcomer for triple posting, even though he/she has entirely no idea that he/she had done anything wrong!

Also includes the latter who'd give ridiculous comments to players who can't explain their situation properly, doing it in a way with sarcasm, while other members laugh at them.

We're a community, so we're supposed to correct each other's actions, not kill them because they have bad grammar or laugh at them.

Jerry and Harry said themselves, that they didn't want their Moderators to be like Police. Yet, CERTAIN PLAYERS continue to act like that. I don't blame the newcomers for their similar actions, because it's all the original's fault.

Then goes the Patroling Squad, checking through every odd thread on any forum section, asking to lock threads for the heck of it. If you don't want to see any more discussion on that thread, just ignore it. Do I need to explain more of this? I think the conclusion on the 'Requesting Lock' thread was way more than enough.

Oh oh oh! and those certain people who think their moderator application has been accepted and starts to get involved in EVERY SINGLE THREAD.

I'm writing this in a way that I think I'm drunk myself. It's just true.

Why? I got told off for all that shit, yet you people do it and nobody else gives a fuss. ;)

Well, I'm glad I got told off, because if I didn't, you people out there would never get this horrible message from me.

What message? I mean, people are setting off flight with useless posts around the forums, and I don't see anyone putting a stop to it!

Made the Issue | Effort? thread a while ago, alot of you viewed it, but nothing much changed.

I can see that if I make a report abuse thread, I can't get away without some stupid reply saying 'omg this happens alot' or 'yea this guy should be banned for <> length.

I'm just throughly pissed at the moment, and obviously the moderation team has let me down by ignoring all of this...

So, before I leave under certain circumstances... here is a last statement from me.

Our server has a very young fanbase, so stop strictly enforcing rules on them.

(leaving part) I have to admit flare, I do hate it when people say they are going to leave but they don't. The only catch with that part of your thread right here is that SOME people said they MIGHT leave for a while. Some of those people actually did leave for a while(not naming anyone off). Like Panda Caity, she changed her title to not leaving anymore...though it did seek a lot of attention which did irritate me. Still, some people actually did leave for a while and some did not. Now to the third point. There's not really a problem there it's more like an addition. If a new guy comes and he happens to double post or something like that, its fine to say like " try not to double post, k?" Dont be like a total jerk and be like DOOD OY U DOUBLE POSTY IM GPOGING TP REPORT U!!! That's just plain rude. If there is a regular member who should know them just ask them POLITELY not to double post again

Ok...2 things.

1. Vic...when the hell did you come back? I'm missing everyone coming back now...

2. Flare, as with knowing you, this decision is final. There's no one who will convince you otherwise. The leaving threads are annoying, seeing as there's just a bunch of them now. They're almost getting spammed here now. And they all come back. Not a surprise. (Yes, I did make a leaving thread, and I did come back, so this is being hypocritical. Sorry :/)

Now, for the "Rule Enforcers". This was a problem that was always pissing you off, as it did/does a lot of us. But reporting a newcomer for triple posting? If they know that they're doing it, and have been warned before, by all means, go ahead. But if they don't know that they're doing it? You could at least be helpful and explain what it is. This is just like people who say "Please use the format" in reports. They don't give a link. They expect them to know what the format is. You could at least give them a link, and explain why they need to use it. And you know who do this? The spammers. The people who act as if they have authority. 3 of the current "Well-Known Members" that are obvious. "Please us the format" "Good Luck" "GL" is all they post. I see now why you look at your "Issue/Effort" thread as a failure. People posted there, but did nothing to improve their spammyness.

And the mods not acting as police. Something else that pissed you off. Why? Because they are police. If they don't act like it, and do their jobs to the fullest, then the community turns into what it is now.

Requesting lock (Post count spam). At least that was dealt with now, that way it doesn't spam here anymore.

There is one last thing I need to put here, Flare. I request that you edit your post. Edit it so the "Patrolling Squad" and "Certain People" are the actual names of who you see doing it. A wise forum member once told me "Don't be afraid to call people out. Infact, they deserve to be called out for their actions." Please, state their names. I am here to defend you while you are gone, and many others are standing by. If I am mentioned in those names, I will gladly see my mistakes.

On your first link for the "attention seeking" that was the complete opposite of what I was trying to do. I wanted to let them know, so I didn't just disappear. I didn't want to be asked a bunch of questions when I came back on the server, but I just couldn't leave. Literally, I was just as I always was but sad. So I wanted to tell everybody I changed my mind so when people see me they wouldn't be like: OMG I THOUGHT YOU WERE LEAVING1!!!?!?!?!!?!?! and have to explain the entire detail. Finally, I labeled the title, "Goodbye Jerry and Harry". I don't know how that last part got added in.

 

Never. This is the first time in about 2 months back on these forums. Flare told me 'bout this thread in PM on hypixel forums and asked if I could comment. I won't come back either, and this is the last post I'm writing. You know my decision was final and please respect it. Thanks

Good. It needs to be said. As much as it may seem you'll be hated, remember, you aren't the only one with these views. Especially you. You have the good views, and the people who are mature enough have the same.

 

About the police thing...
I do agree, there is a small part in our moderators job to be somewhat of a cop, but really:

Really, the main job of a moderator is to create peace amongst us.
They are there to stop fights from happening, and keep things under control.

What the quote means, in my opinion is that they don't want the moderators to be too strict on cases. ;)

It's definitely not that moderators shouldn't do their job, with results of upsetting players due to them moderating them in general.

The term moderator in the dictionary and in minecraft differs, because to us, they do seem like to be the police, the person with power to catch a person performing a crime. Informally, they would actually be called the 'Cops' of the server.

In the dictionary it just simply means they attempt to 'moderate' certain things that may violate the rules.
