After almost a year of service, my headset sound finally gave out. Unless I tilt my head/move the wire perfectly, the main track is muffled, and I can almost only hear the bass track. Should've known those hours of listening to music would catch up with me. Tsk. RIP Star's 20$ Logitech. o7 Fortunately, it's my birthday in 10 days as of writing this post, which gives me plenty of chance that I'll be able to get a new one. c: Either way, this is similar to John's thread - I need a new headset, and I need to know some good brands. I want something with good audio and minimal echo/background noise when I talk. The more cost efficient, the better. If you know any good headsets, please tell me what they are. Thanks. c:
I used to have a wireless one of those. I left the usb in my laptop on my bed and before I knew it, my laptop fell off the bed (on the side with the usb), and the usb smashed. GG.
Yeah! Beats are really strong and they have nice microphones. Turtle beach's are also pretty good. :)
Let me contradict everything up here. Unless you want a headset with a pointless mic and nothing but a brand name, don't get Beats. Make no mistake, Beats have great sound, and they're great for portable headsets. But they're $300+. They're way too expensive, they're impractical for gaming, and if you ask for them as a present, you'll get less other presents because of the sheer value of the headset. And the mic isn't really that good. If you're getting Beats, you're getting the headset for the brand name - in other words, you're getting it because it's a Beats headset. I'd suggest a gaming headset that has great sound quality, excellent mic quality, and is all around epic. Razer is very reliable with this. The Razer Kraken is $80 and the Razer Blackshark is $130 - if I had to recommend anything, it'd be either of those.
I've heard good things about the Logitech G-series. I personally use a Logitech H230 or something. Works fine for me, although not the best to listen to music on. For listening to music, I've heard a TON of good things about Audio Technica's, although they don't come with a mic (as far as I know) And as far as Turtle Beach and Beats.... They're just overpriced IMO. Especially Beats.
From my experience DO NOT BUY BEATS HEADPHONES!! I bought the beats studios 2013 edition and, to this day, iit annoys me to think about how I could have bought better headphones. The only reason I would ever recommend beats is that they look good, but the audio quality is not worth the 300$ (thought its not bad, not at all, but you can equal the quality by paying half the price on other headsets). Don't get Turtle Beach either, they are also not worth the price. If it was up to me at this point to buy a new headset, I'd honestly go for the Razer Kraken 7.1 Like wolf said, if you want a good pair of headphones for listening to music, the audio technica's are great, and the logitech G-series are good for gaming. Your choice :p Hope that I helped!
I have a set of Turtle Beach PX22s (and so do some other people here) They cost $80 at GameStop and are pretty good IMO with what I think is a good mic
I suggest buying a PX22, they are universal. the ycan go for pc/mac, xbox, playstation mobile and so on. They cost about 80 dollars and yo ucan find them at most electronic stores like best buy, Wal mart, target gamestop etc Either that or you can get a razer kraken headset, they are super comfortable and last a unbelievably long time. the durability on that headset is amazing.
